NCL has cabins just for solos on some of their ships. There is no lack of solos there.

 

On Carnival whether I traveled solo or not I very often on sea-days go exploring by myself, again there has never been a lack of solos on any Carnival cruise I have been on (8 trips so far).

 

Holland America was an Alaskan cruise, we were so busy looking at the scenery I never notices if there were any solos. If you are doing the Alaskan trip don't worry if there are other solo travelers, worry if you have enough batteries and storage cards for your camera. :)

I've been traveling solo for quite awhile as my hubby doesn't travel at all. I'm doing my first solo cruise in early October and I'm really looking forward to it. I've already signed up for the Roll Call, the Meet and Mingle, booked my shore excursions, set up a ship below-decks tour and reserved a wine tasting. I'm doing the any time dining and looking forward to meeting new people every night. I'm hoping this is the first of many wonderful solo cruises.

I think there cannot be a 100% answer for yes or no and it also depends

on the cruise and cruiseline.

I should say it does not matter to me whether there are other solo

cruisers on my sailings or not. I cruise for me and as long as folks are

friendly, I don't care if I meet other solo cruisers. It is not something

that is important to me. I have met many couples over the years

who I am friends with up to this day that I have met on various

cruises:)....I have met other solo's too, but I don't go looking for

them.

 

After reading these boards for many years, It looks like Carnival and

NCL do have more solo cruisers....so if that is important to you? Maybe

look at those cruiselines.

I understand! It's just my first time cruising and I'll be doing it solo. I guess I'm a little nervous about it. If there's other solo's I might feel a bit more comfortable.

Yes there will be... You'll also get "adopted" by everyone. :D

 

Check out the roll call for your sailing to see who may have already signed up. There might be other solos lurking to see if they're the only one.

When you travel solo are there usually other solo's on the ship? Just wondering. I'll be cruising for the first time and my first time will be solo. Just wondering how possible will it be that other solo's will be there too. Thanks!:)
