Hi again - I think it was aqualand - it was organised by p&0 - quite a lot of families did it. It was about 20 away minutes in the bus.

This is what someone posted on an MSC UK facebook page. It does say .com.au so could be for Australia, still looking for the other one.

    No automatic alt text available.

Thanks Sidari! Also found this one but it’s carribean. I imagine the European one will just be a variation of Australia/Caribbean one. 👎🏼Boo no pina coladas!

I have seen an Easy menu for the Med, if I can find it will post it for you, like USA one there are 10 cocktails listed though 4 are things like G&T, Rum and Coke, Whisky and Coke and one other of what I don't consider to be a cocktail, so 6 actual cocktails.

Oh fab, thanks so much Sidari! I didn’t notice that. Fingers crossed there’s a pina colada on it! 😂👍🏼🍍

There are various threads on drinks packages, all springing up in the past 10 days or so, as MSC have increased considerably the cost of packages. We are not too bothered re alcohol but, from what I have read on these threads there would be no cocktails available with 'easy' and very limited, if any wine choice. Some have suggested mocktails on this package, along with the spirit(s) required to DIY to a cocktail.......!

Thanks. I’ve been going through them all for days but it seemed to be more USA pricing and people who have previously booked packages. It’s all very confusing eh? Thanks for your help hamrag

  6. I apologise if this has already been asked, but I could only find USA site info on drinks threads on here.

I havent purchased drinks packages yet for Seaview  next June , but I will do. In the ‘easy’ package does this cover drinks up to value of 6€? If so, does anyone have menus/lists of what these drinks actually are?

I’m thinking that basic cocktails probably will be above 6€ - any ideas?

I only drink fizz, red wine and cocktails! 🙈🙈

  7. We’re having same dilemma as you Jo. We’re a family of 4 (from Scotland too). Just not actually sure that on a 7 day cruise with ports everyday that we’d really use £490 worth of drinks/ice cream. I’d be kicking myself if I didn’t take it and ended up going way over though 😂😂

I do know from this site that the 15% gets added on to drinks if you don’t take a drinks package.

  8. We’re just back from Dubai and our cream taxi from airport to the Palm was 129 dirhams but on the way back was 88 dirhams.

Tacis are the ONLY thing that is cheap in Dubai!!! 😂😂😂

  9. The prices of other staterooms are shown on the MSC website. There is no upgrade price for a stateroom different from what you see. The availibility of a YC suite is more important than the price since YC is fully booked on many cruises.

Ah I see. I wondered if it was like plane upgrades “pay another £800 and you could upgrade to this cabin etc..”

    Thanks for your advice.

  10. I’ve booked a family of 4 in a fantastica balcony cabin next June on Seaview from Barcelona. I’m curious to know if there’s a way I can check on the msc website how much it would cost me if I decided to upgrade to a bigger cabin or YC.

Is this possible, or would I need to phone the travel agent I originally booked with?

    I’m based in Scotland.

  11. Kotor is beautiful! You walk right off the ship into the town. It’s like sailing into a fjord! We had 2 12 year old twins at the time and walked right up to the top of the mountain, looking down towards the ship. Then we just looked round the cobbled streets, had a drink in a restro then the girls paddled in the sea.

In Corfu, we went straight to the waterpark with the girls which was really really good fun!

  12. Ahh I see! I suppose I should wait til payday then :o Thanks for your help.

    Hello Karen,

you pay immediately after you selected add-ons such as drink package, excursions, internet package, laundry, spa treatments. The MSC software works with a “shopping cart” and you pay at check-out. The add-ons show up in “My Purchases” and the amount is listed separate to the cruise price.

  13. Apologies if this has already been asked but I did have a good search about first :D

My Seaview cruise is due to be paid to a travel agent at the end of March 2019. If I log on to MSC and add on 4 drinks packages, will I have to pay them immediately, at end of March or on last day of cruise? Any ideas.

  14. Thanks so much for your advice.

We actually did the sofa bed opening and closing ourselves after our cabin steward showed us how. It's pretty easy. It's just too hard to get around with it open, so much easier to open it when we're ready, and close it as soon as everyone is up. We didn't feel too crowded when the sofa bed was closed.

There isn't much storage space (and we travel fairly light). The only drawer is in the desk. I wish I'd brought hanging organizers.

  15. Hi travellingonMSC, We too are book on Seaview next June with 2 13 year olds and I'm a bit worried about the space too. The price jump for an extra cabin was huge and when booking, the lady on the phone said there were no bunk bed cabins available (but maybe that was just for the price quoted.) I suspect we'll be squashed to bits lol!! (I assume the sofabed gets folded away every morning, yeah?)

  16. I've only cruised on P&O once before so hope you dont think this is a silly question, but.....

We are not taking out any drinks packages so I believe 15% will be added on to any drinks bought - is this part of the service charge or is the service charge on top of the 15% for drinks?

  17. Would like to take my parents on this short cruise for their golden wedding anniversary at Easter.

Does anyone know if it will be formal dress both nights for the main restaurant or just one night or none with it being so short?

Also, would you recommend flying down from Glasgow the day before and having an overnight in Southampton, or will flying down early on the embarkation day be enough?

    Hope you can help.

    Karen
