Good job you opted to stay on board and hope you enjoy the rest of today’s activities and especially the sail away!

Having spent 25 years of my working life in Liverpool I think I understand the Scouse humour.
Obviously not! Type of comment I’d expect from the likes of Bernard Manning!

Good job she doesn't have wheels😂
Uncalled for cheap jibe. As a Liverpudlian I think this is a great decision and Queen Anne will be welcomed with open arms!

Hi looking for advice on best way to cover a world cruise given told annual policy does not cover as over 30 days.
-
I am disgusted that these infected, rude passenger's have not been escorted off the ship - obviously no consideration for fellow passengers or crew. Cunard need to explain their decision making process in this fiasco!

It is definitely the rear of the stage which is always side on to the Mersey, and facing towards the museum of Liverpool, which allows for a large audience in front.

Lucky you! Captain Tomas Connery is taking charge today.

@Pear Carr Hope you’re enjoying your cruise. Is she “home porting” in Barcelona or Rome (or Istanbul for that matter). Was wondering what the VAT situation is. Last year based in Barcelona it was Spanish VAT all summer until we left for Singapore.
Sorry we embarked at Civitavecchia, disembarking same on 10/6, and we are not in Spanish waters so unable to comment. Service and food have been excellent so far in all areas and the chefs have been out every evening after second sitting in Britannia restaurant for feedback! World Club and Captains party’s back in full swing!

Also definitely no canapés - a few nuts or crisps!

How much have they gone up to please.
Currently on board and can confirm price increase/menu change. Martinis do appear to be $15+ in Commodore. Some fancy concoctions going on which staff are trying to master! No Vieux carre on menu but gladly made for OH and my Queens Negroni has shot up to $13.50 on menu but both drinks charged at $12 - who knows? Will try to upload current menus but unfortunately I’m not that savvy!

Maybe Paul McCartney will be the Godparent - Liverpool and all…??
Absolutely No! Past his sell by date and only a royal will fill this role!

Going to be an amazing event in my city!

They look a bit meagre but obviously only available in Queens Grill. We have had some decent canapés in the Commodore Club on QV most notably garlic prawn skewers - some selection we bypass - but nice to be offered and add to the experience. Cunard are missing a trick by removing this perk!

We were on board last year and enjoyed it so much we have booked again for this year (first segment of round trip). TA’s always have a great atmosphere but the literary festival brings a great energy to the experience. There is certainly a mixed age range (still more upwards of middle age) and I believe all of the talks/festival events were open to us except for the small group workshops, which have a bookable additional charge, with specific authors/writers.

For those who disfavor Barcelona, is it safety-related concerns?
For me this would be a yes. A few years ago, I was witness to my friend being the victim of an attempted robbery/bag snatch literally minutes after being dropped off by taxi from the airport in the gothic quarter on route to our hotel.

No intention of cancelling and whilst looking forward to it still have some mixed feelings based on general feedback/comments so far, rather than on this one very negative review. Thank you all for taking the time to keep us updated of your experience.

There are lots of ‘Cunarders’ who prefer QV - I like her Queens Room and Commodore Club but prefer QM2 overall, especially the Chart Room and Golden Lion and of course the promenade deck. I am not liking the look of the Queens Room or the promenade deck on QA but will reserve judgement on the rest and hoping for the best.

Just read a very negative review on CC by someone who is currently on QA. I have mixed feelings about boarding in July but will try to go with an open mind and embrace the difference. I hope some others from the maiden and current voyage will post reviews/impressions.

I will be taking a chance and taking my usual haul!

I would also add that you have a better experience in terms of being closer to the sea in a sheltered balcony on decks 4/5 with uninterrupted views (when standing!).

Thank you for taking the time to post during and after your cruise! We are on in July and like you think we will like some things more/less than the other Queens but excited to try.

Thanks for taking one for the team - but no thanks - looks like wasted calories to me! Delighted you have managed to get your next trip sorted and look forward to reading about your continuing experience on Queen Anne. Thanks again for your input!

I do not understand or comprehend how this has happened given you have booked Cunard fare and chosen your cabin. Sounds very suspect and unheard of to me. Hope this matter is resolved soon in your favour.
