But, surely you knew all this when you booked? You seem you know the difference between the two fares. And when you booked 'select' you only had the option of a 'grade' rather than an exact cabin, and the fact that 2nd sitting was waitlisted would also have been flagged up.So you knew all this and still booked 'select'....Sorry, but I can't see why you appear to be upset with you decision...
We booked with Planet cruise Bruce and they never informed us of the waiting list for the dining. I would have hoped for at least an upgrade to a better placed deck at the very most. On saver fare we have always had a nicely placed cabin. We have travelled with Princess recently and got upgraded despite we have never been with them before and they acknowledge your loyalty with P and O. Just think they would look after loyal passengers a bit better like Princess do!

I think no matter what, it's the luck of the draw. It is the first time I have booked a select price and it will be the last! No cabin selection only the guaranteed cabin grade and no prefered dining either and still on a late sitting waiting list. We have benefited from a On board spend but that's all. P and O need to start treating their loyal customers better?

I do hope they offer us something slightly better. We also asked to be close to my brother and sister in law who are travelling with us and they are on deck F and booked at the same time and the same select fare. It is a special birthday for me as well. I suppose that there is still time!

We have booked a select fare on the Britannia and am not seeing any benefits so far to this. We have been given a balcony cabin number on A deck which is the minimum guaranted cabin and have since found out that they are in the shade. We cannot book the dining time and have bee put on a waiting list for the late sitting. We have cruised before with P and O but always on a saver fare, I think we should have done this as it would have been alot cheaper. If we were lucky to be upgraded could anyone tell me when we would be informed of this. We travel in 3 weeks time.:D

I am not sure who is on at the main theatre, but at the Limelight club there is Jackie Graham, Kiki Dee and Darren Day! :)

There were three ships in the day we docked and Rum therapy!

I believe that all of us joining the ship that day in St Lucia will have muster in the Live Lounge and then be directed en masse to Run Therapy for your birthday.
I like your thinking soup please :):)

I am not sure Soup please, but it would probably better for new passengers also so you can get straight into the holiday spirit!

I should imagine that it would be the town one, as new passengers are joining us that day! It's a shame because the ship is so close to the Port Seraphine, think we may have to get a taxi back!

Thanks for the info, I am hoping that the Britannia is going to dock near the Rum Therapy bar! On that day in St Lucia I am hoping to celebrate a very special birthday and will probably not want to walk along way back to the ship after a couple of drinks if you know what I mean? It looks like there is a Thomson ship in also, but wondered how the new passengers would be processed!

We have previously docked in St Lucia at the side of the cruise terminal near the duty free shops and excellent bars. As some people are joining the cruise in St Lucia, does anyone know if the Britannia will still dock at the same place?
Have many people recieved an upgrade on a select fare?

Well said Chris, I totally agree. I have booked with cruise nation before and found them excellent in explaining the terms in full!
