We'll be on the Prima in an H4 this Dec 3, and I'd be happy to give a tour.  We met two lovely British couples in the elevator on Celebrity Beyond who saw what floor we pushed and asked if our cabin was very posh, so we invited them to see (it was an Edge Villa and "indeed" was very posh!).

@renjiI am on Prima Dec 3rd too.  H6 The two bedroom.  Would love to meet and show rooms.  Getting super excited.

Are there self laundry facilities, or is laundry only send out? (DW is already wondering how she will pack for an 11 day cruise and the cruise is not until the summer of 2023, yes 2023, not one of the inaugural cruises in the summer of 2020.)

If I was a betting person, I would say there is no chance of self laundry.  I say this based off of a conversation that I vaguely remember about all of the NCL fleet.  Again, no one will no until it's all laid out.  She can always do laundry in the tub or send out for them to do.  Maybe there is a port you don't care to do anything at and can find a coin laundry mat.  Just ideas.  I am on the Prima in Dec 22 and am awaiting any bit of news I can 🙂

  3. I will jump on the NFL bandwagon. I have sailed on all three and agree that NFL is ahead of the game as far as solo travel.

Be careful with your November dates if you don't want a lot of families with kids. That is Thanksgiving break time frame, then again a 10 day will keep lots of kids away.

Best of luck. I would pick the Escape or Getaway though. [emoji16]

  4. No. No. No. Please don't try to conflate the two.

Global Entry is a Trusted Traveler program that is for immigration and customs procedures when entering the USA.

TSA Pre-Check is a Trusted Traveler program that is for security screening at all airports in the USA.

Different programs, perhaps confused because travelers who have Global Entry status are also enrolled in Pre-Check (a separate and distinct program). However, Pre-Check enrollees are NOT granted Global Entry status.

Sorry! I knew that I was trying to make it simple.[emoji20] I am/was tying on my phone. I should know better then to write the short answer to a more in depth explanation.

  5. This spells everything out for me and gives me a play by play of what to expect. Exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you!!

    What is a GE card?

GE is Global Entry, think TSA Pre check, but for those who fly internationally a lot. I would assume you do not have this as it is your first flight and you need to apply etc...

  6. Torture, kidding sort of. I booked mine 18 months out. Transatlantic, honestly I didn't care were the ports were I just wanted to most sea days possible :) In the beginning I was super excited, found I couldn't stand the wait and booked one In between on the same ship just so that I could make sure I liked the ship, The Epic.

Had a blast and now that I am 115 days from flying to Barcelona the excitement gets me through the bad days at work and all is well.

Did I mention that CC is my go to place when I pick up my phone?

I almost dread for it to be here because then it will be over. Guess I will move on to the next item on the list :)

  7. Hank,

You may have just answered my question. I use Samsung Pay and was wondering if that or Apple Pay was how their CC was compromised.

Seems you are saying thats pretty secure?

  8. If you get the spa mini suite the bathroom is bigger, not sure where that price difference is for you.

Another advantage is you know you have spa passes, no jumping on NCL at 90 days and paying or if its a busy cruise period getting worried that the passes are sold out.

  9. I just spoke to an NCL representative. She looked at our reservation and said that we also had the above insurance thru Booksafe-same benefits. Everyone that buys insurance thru NCL apparently gets this standard insurance with trip protection and medical expenses.

Thanks for updating!! Glad we have coverage :) Before I book next time I will also look at all options.

  10. Thanks for this important thread. I am sorry for your pain. It has got me thinking. I am looking thru our trip insurance thru NCL. Seems like it only covers trip cancellation, interruption & death & dismemberment ugh! Doesn't say a thing about having medical issues. I would guess I need another policy for medical issues? Are there policies out there that cover both? Looks like more research is in my future but does anyone know offhand? Thanks.

Hmmm. Attached is a screenshot of the Book safe plan through NCL. Thought I am covered. Will need to do more research on this.bdaab1c5511f116575432bddd2922b10.jpg
