  1. We were on the Reflection last March and had no issues with getting a drink. I prefer to go up to the bar and stretch my legs. I don't mind waiting for a few minutes and chatting with those around me. I don't have anywhere to be anyway.

Sailed December 24th Reflection and had the Ultimate Drink package for the 7 days. It gave us the convenience to have whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. I found that being conversive and nice gained us quick service and great drinks. The world class bar with Lazar was off the chain. The martini bar is a central meeting place for traveling groups and is very popular. The pool bar with Abuda & Joaquim yielded drinks galore when needed. Relationships create a "rapport" between server and customer. Positive attitude enhances the experience. Nightly we would simply walk by the Ensemble Bar and pickup our usual "before dinner" drinks on our way down to "BLU". At the Mast Grill the beers are quick. We love Celebrity and respected the service speed when in the que. The ocean view Bacio bar is fast and Joyce will make you whatever drink that you request. Being nice made our drinks better and more enjoyable. Siska at the Bacio on deck 5 will make your French Kiss coffee perfect everytime.

  2. We just got off on Dec 10 and loved everything about the ship. We ate 4 different Spec. Restu. and loved all of them. Only ate in Select dinning 2 nights. The Lawn Club was a lot of fun and my wife cooked both dinners . Murano's was the best of all of them and Qusine was really different and we loved the food !. Have a great time and don't be afraid to try any of them ! Bob

Just back from the Reflection and the food venues were great. The ambiance and the service make the meal. Manager Dario in Blu is fabulous and the Murano for seaday lunch is beyond fabulous. "ATTA" the caviar expert @ Sushi on 5 will knock it out of the park for you. go to Blu & ask for Budiasa & Alec for their lunch work location, usually lawn club or the Porch. They are the Bestservice on the ship. Jacarias in the deck 11 suite area 1611-1609 is the best room steward. stop by to say hello and enjoy the quiet huge chairs in the corner.

Joyce in Bacio II is the best drink-maker on deck 14. please enjoy all you deserve this great time just like we did.

  3. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Bacio II in the oceanview buffet ask for joyce and Kesnia they are the drink masters of the buffet.

Siska in Bacio on deck 5 is the best French Kiss maker anad she remembers your favorite cafe everytime.

Lazar in the world class bar and his fellow croatian make the specialty libations to near perfect everytime.

The premium drink package simply made life easy for every kind of drink possible on the ship. That even covered the water to go on deck 2 when leaving the ship for land.:):) the hendricks with Mary mix makes a spicey cocktail too.

  4. We just sailed 12/10-12/17. Lovely ship, and overall nice cruise, but my experience in the spa was quite the opposite. A little background..this was my 38th cruise and I've frequented the spa on nearly all of them. Never had a single bad experience with facials, massages, etc. I am familiar with the Steiner group that run the spas for other cruise lines as well as Canyon Ranch which Celebrity now uses. I am recovering from a serious surgery, and heat therapy has been instrumental during the healing process. I fell in love with the heated tile loungers on the Silhouette last year. As soon as I stepped aboard the Reflection, I went to the spa and immediately bought the unlimited weekly pass for Persian Gardens for 88.00 - it was the one thing I had anticipated most about the entire cruise. Ironically, during the spa open house tour, all the beds were full, but I didn't think much about it. I asked how soon I could use the pass, and the gal said not until later during dinner hours. That was fine. Came back that night and beds were full. No big deal. Returned at lunch the following two days. Beds were full again. Came back late afternoon and overheard another lady at the desk complaining about the same issue, and just left. I am not a complainer by nature, and I was also mindful that I was in the waiting area where people who were spending money to relax could overhear me and didn't want to create a negative vibe. After two port days, I went up and asked to speak to the manager (Vivian) after making sure no one was around. I explained what had happened. I politely asked her for a credit on my account. She told me the pass was non-refundable. I told her I hadn't even been able to use the pass a single time all week, she suggests I go use it right then- I was already dressed up for dinner at this hour, and couldn't. She just shrugs and says try tomorrow. I was shocked at her lack of professionalism, I've never seen this aboard a ship...ever. I went to guest services ( a first for me, as well). They contacted the spa on my behalf, and told me the spa would be calling my cabin later in the evening. No call, no voicemail. The last sea day, I return to the spa and spoke to Vivian who again refused the credit and told me to go use the beds right then, that she would personally make sure they were being rotated. I literally couldn't believe my ears. I reminded her that this wasn't like a pool lounger, that I had paid for something that they just were not providing, and that wasn't acceptable. It's not good business to oversell a service. The cruise was almost over. She became very argumentative and STILL insisted there was time to use the beds as long as I was onboard one last day. I truly left feeling insulted. I never did get to use the pass a single time. This alone could have ruined my cruise, because I was dreaming about those loungers for months, and was very disappointed. I won't return to another Canyon Ranch Spa, ever, this could have been handled so much better. FYI- It wasn't even about the credit, I actually disembarked yesterday with 78$ worth of OBC that wasn't ever spent. As a business owner, I just cannot imagine treating a client like this, and wanted others to know. Purchase the passes with caution, and low expectations.
It's not the money it is the calculated planning that makes this a angry moment.

The inclusion of the hot beds is simply the sizzle and there is no way that the numbers sold ever will equal the numbers available. This is an employee spiff that never works for the customer. Shame on Celebrity for making a money revenue center out of the heated lounges. The Cruise Critic rumblings foretell their anxious sales pressure we all experienced in the Spa Area. We are going to see"Vivian" on the 24th and ask her about the "Heated Lounge Hogs" after we board Saturday. always best regards, brifro

  5. We're arriving three hours late into SJ and our day is ruined. Why wouldn't they give us the time back by departing later? Our next port call is nearby. Not happy with this. Basically it is what it is and tough if you don't like it. I was really looking forward to having the whole afternoon in OSJ. Just venting more than anything I suppose.

Missing the sun set from the top of the reflection is an awesome sight. We :)are anxious to do OSJ just like you were when we get there. Relax and enjoy the "special" company that is with you on this cruise. We have waited our whole year to be part of this moment. 2 weeks and counting down.

  6. Thanks for taking us along, Christina. Did you attend any shows? Feedback? I'm excited to check out the casino and the world class bar as well! Less than two weeks now!

Sailing December 24th, could you please tell me upon what deck do we enter the Reflection from @ the Miami terminal? always best regards, BRIFRO

  7. Following along. We board on Christmas Eve for the week. I suspect the discounts won't be offered for the specialty dining on our cruise with it being Christmas.

The Lawn club is trying to increase the guest count as it is the least used venue on the Reflection during the Caribbean cruises. Half off is a great incentive for the first night. Thank you for the tip. Always best regards, BRIFRO

  8. r - I Am so sorry for your mothers unfortunate fall.. were you with them on this sailing? Sounds like you were not as someone had to fly to Portugal to attend them.

Should they have been sailing alone?

I can only suggest that this must be an anomaly, as there have been several posts recently, where individuals who have been hurt aboard were taken care of by X in great form.

Now, I cannot know how much involvement the travel companions had in getting things in order as well.

As stated before, most '3rd party' travel insurance policies have a concierge who assists in such situations including having a translator available.

I can only surmize that you just joined CC to complain about X's 'treatment' of your parents, in lieu of reading how others in similar situations have fared. There have been some other nightmares reported, but I believe more often than not, it has been all good.

I wish her a good and speedy recovery and your father is able to help with her rehabilitation.

    bon voyage

Bo, thankyou for the positive input for the Cruise Critic forum.

  9. Thanks for the reviews. On board in 2 weeks so living the trip through you this week! Appreciate you posting the dailies as well.

Sailing Dec 24th. Thank you for being our "early eyes". We really appreciate the "stuff" and are really excited to be there in December celebrating a "Cruise Christmas".

  10. We are doing the Demi Lovato concert in St.Maartin :). This is a great opportunity to be up front and close for a great event. The VIP tickets are $300 each for the special meet and greet. The festive spirit of a Christmas cruise is simply wonderful. So happy to enjoy the Caribbean we such wonderful cc guests. See you at the roll call greet. brifro
