Hurricane Florence – Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Dawn, September 6, 2018 10:00 PM EST (2:00 AM UTC)

Update #3: The safety and security of our guests and crew is always our top priority. Due to Hurricane Florence in the Eastern Atlantic, we have modified both Norwegian Escape’s and Norwegian Dawn’s itineraries.

Norwegian Escape, scheduled to depart from New York City on September 9, will now call in Port Canaveral, Florida as well as Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas to avoid the storm’s path. The ship will not call in Bermuda as planned.*

Norwegian Dawn, scheduled to depart from Boston on September 7, will not sail her original itinerary due to the anticipated weather conditions in Bermuda. She will instead call in Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; St. John, New Brunswick; and Bar Harbor, Maine.

Our on board teams are prepared to ensure the best vacation experience possible given these weather related necessary changes. We will continue to closely monitor the storm and provide additional updates as they become available.

Yikes. Didn't realize. I did a google search and it just popped up. I thought it odd because when researching la cucina before, we didn't notice pizza..just figured some things change. Oh well.

My family is going on the Dawn this week. My sister-in-law and her new fiance *just* got engaged this week, and I would love to do something special for their stateroom as a surprise for their engagement. Such as have chocolate covered strawberries and wine sent to their room for them to find when arriving. Can this be done ahead of time, preferably online? I see that I can order those items for my *own* room, but is there an option to send gifts to others? Thanks for any help and/or advice.

If u have spotify premium (or any other music program on your phone that works without wifi), download music playlists and bring along a small speaker for listening to music via your cellphone in your cabin.

 

I bring a pop up hamper from the dollar store for dirty clothes and dryer sheets to keep the room smelling fresh

The crowd is mostly from Boston. If they show a game, it will likely be the Patriots vs Texans at 1pm Sunday. But if this is the Bermuda cruise, you will be in port so they might not bother. It costs NCL over $30,000 per game.

Ohhhhhh.... that's interesting and very useful information! We are sailing out of Boston to Bermuda and I was hoping to catch the Pat's vs Texans game at 1pm. However, 1pm is the docking time so...based on the information about how much it'll cost NCL, maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up.. hmmm. Sigh. Oh well, at least it's just the 1st game and not a super important one! Thanks for your info!

You should be all set, depending really on where you sail from. I've watched multiple NFL matches on my two Sky cruises! I've seen Sunday, Monday and Thursday Football.

Will the ships broadcast NFL games on Sundays? Perhaps at a bar or restaurant? I'm sailing on the Dawn in September and don't want to miss my team's first regular season game while at sea! Thanks for any info.
