  2. I agree this is an issue. With wife’s folding WC it’s both the seat cushion and the foot rests. We have a large cloth shopping bag that we travel with. I disassemble the chair and put the loose parts in the bag in the overhead bin. The other option if you can is to loosely zip tie the foot rests to the frame. Given the issues we’ve had with airline damage I don’t trust just leaving them on the chair. Good luck.

  3. It's likely different numbering on different ships. 2132 is accessible on other ships but I don't believe it is on Reflection. Our accessible sky suite was on the aft section 2196. Compare deck plans Reflection and Solstice.

  4. We were on Reflection in january. We got in the main queue inside the terminal and we're directed back out to a second door. Initially confusing but door was just around the corner and there was no line and two very helpful people. We got checked through and were directed up to security. We went through and went to the check in. We got immediately pulled from the line by staff and sent to the nearest check in. It was probably 30 minutes from curb to getting on the ship. Staff was helpful at every step.

  6. Sorry, having been on five cruises in 2130 on the Eclipse with my wife, I could not disagree more. Great suite, perfect for my wife who has multiple disabilities. The noise form above where the Oceanview Cafe is situated is minimal, just setting up noise at about 6.00 am but very quiet and does not last long.

    Hi BFG.

Very glad you were happy with 2130. We are booked on Eclipse for Norway out of Dublin (May 20 2018) and will be in 2130. Do you have any pictures? We just returned from the Eastern Caribbean on the Reflection in 2196. I assume it is rather similar but curious to get a lay of the land. The noise in 2196 was a bit of a bother for me but not so for my wife or our daughter (cannons wouldn't bother our daughter). I moved us to 2130 to be a bit closer to the elevator.

  7. I know a couple of Scots who'd want you're head on a stick for not mentioning the 18. ;) It's in a completely different league when compared to earlier expressions. :)

Sadly like many other distilleries Macallan have started to move away from age statement whisky as they simply cannot keep up with global demand. Going forward you can expect to see a lot more NAS hitting the shelves.

I just wish we'd see at least one expression from Ardbeg and Dalmore with the massive increase in popularity with the former in recent years I'm surprised they've not done this already for fans of Islay whisky.

They will get their chance in October. [emoji15]

I am a big fan of those Islay's. Never really liked the Speyside. My wife and daughter say my favorite flavor is dirt. I prefer "earthy"

  8. Hi All

We are just off the Celebrity Reflection. I loaded a video of our wheelchair accessible sky suite (deck 12, #2196) to YouTube. The room is much larger than similar we had on the Infinity. 250 versus 350 sq ft. bigger veranda and the double windows make the room much brighter. The only down side was the position under the buffet which has been commented on elsewhere.

    Link to youtube video:

    Cheers!

  9. Karen - sorry for the confusion. The numbers next to the list are the ages not the $. So the Lagavulin 16 is the 16 Year. Macallan select oak was the disappointment. its the only one on the ship. No 12, 15 or 21 to be found. :'(

    Yea - another Wolverine!

  10. Hi Karen

I can't comment too much on Ensemble. I walked through and looked at the display columns that they have and only saw similar (Macallan and his friends Glen F and Glen L) so I went back to WCB. I spent a lot of my time at Ensemble on the Infinity in 2015 since that did have a great selection.

I would also let you all know that some of the select scotches seem to require you asking about them. I asked about Lagavulin at WCB and it appeared. The Macallan in Michaels club was usually under the bar and required asking for it.

If you want something specific you may need to ask.

  11. Just off the Reflection 7 day Caribbean Cruise (Puerto Rico, St Maarten, St Kitts). I spent most of my time at World Class Bar and Michaels Club and discovered late in the trip that Cellar Masters had some interesting sections. I had the premium package so I don't have prices for most (swipe, pour, sip, repeat). I took a picture of the menu at CM so that should provide a guide for the others. Michael's club was limited in selection. Mostly drank the Macallan but it was a great quiet place for my nightly night cap.

  12. Last time we were on Infinity they had Highland Park so i had that and JW black. Agree with markeb on Lagavulin. Have seen Lagavulin listed on the premium package list but has anyone seen it? I favor the peaty ones. Talisker, Laphroig, Lagavulin.

  13. A suggestion would be the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel. I have stayed there on a business trip tho without my wife who uses a wheelchair. Even when we weren't traveling together I still noticed whether we would be able to get around or not. its a beautiful hotel and its two blocks to Nyhaven and a few more to the Stroget.

    Good luck.

  14. We just returned from Alaska and were in a SkySuite. We ate at the restaurant reserved for suite guests every meal (Luminae). It was great for me since I do not like significant noise while eating and it is small and quite and portals to the ocean - peaceful. We ate at SS United States one night (without extra charges). We booked the SSUS reservation through our butler on the second day and were still able to get a preferred day and time.

As folks have said, Cellar Masters is on Infinity. We did a wine tasting on the second day. A bit rushed to do 12 wines in 1 hour but we managed.

  15. just returned from Alaska. there were limited options for craftiness but I was able to have plenty of Alaskan Brewing White, Amber and IPA at the deck 10 Ocean View Bar (If Happy is there he was my favorite crew member and always had my Cranberry Red Bull at the ready). I was also able to find good selections at the Cellar Masters on deck 5. People wanted wine so I was able to find other options - Ommegang Abby Ale was my go to. They had many other options from many others (including DogFishHead). I would say that stouts and porters may be less common. Rendevous lounge is where the best scotch collection was to be found - if interested.
