I too was kind of bummed when I found you couldn't combine this with free at see. But let's say you don't drink and want to book a guaranteed cabin for the 21 day upcoming canal cruise we are going on, you would get almost 10% of you investment back immediately. I may still by a modest amount, say 100 shares today. Once the drama is over, this should be an easy double if nothing else. Some day, all the perks may disappear as well. If I had any guts, I'd start loading up on some airlines, Boeing and Apple and hold on for the ride.

It just matched a search I made, was looking for information. Actually found what I was looking for in the search BTW.

Last time in NY and Miami, Platinum and above were kind of called first, in NY I think they called Casino guests before. Not sure why since the casino isn't open in port. The port workers handle multiple lines as contractors and I get the feeling they are not always really sure particularly in the boarding process. Last time in Miami we were given crazy high boarding number upon entering the waiting area after checking in, when they called Platinum and above we were able to walk right on though. We like to go to O'Sheehan's sit down and have lunch and a drink or two. With any luck, it will turn out to be your muster station!

I suspect, as some have mentioned, the NCF fee matches the transit tax which I have read is in the 140-150 range per passenger is because this is not cruise ship revenue. Why would they pay a travel agent a commission for a large fee outside of their control that does not contribute to their bottom line.

Thanks for the info, their FAQ was kind of cryptic. I did buy 100 shares today thinking the worst that could happen was I'd double up when they figure this whole thing out. I'm on a 21 day out of NYC in April and this would be great!
