  1. Be carefyl Dr Dawggy. You are always recommended Sandy. Are you connected with her? All are working in same way. You must not talk bad about other tour guides. May be you, like me are retired and enjoying life. But they are working.

Is good to recommend good guides. I believe that Sandy is not a tour guide, she only coordinate tour guides right?

May be people look at tour guides directly. Just I recommend to google Buenos Aires Tour Guide and find by themselves to be more honest.

  2. There are some reasons why many ships change into San Antonio port. So is 1.30hours distance. They offer tours in San Antonio wich is a small town or you need to be picked up to go to Valparaiso to Santiago Chile. Is full day. A private tour is convenient so you skip lines and waiting trying to optimize the time. I got the contact of a lady who knows all southamerica and specially that issues in the port is liz2arg to yahoo dot com

  3. Yes seems to be that is the 2nd year that the San Antonio port replace the arrival ship to Valparaiso. That is like 1 hour and half.

If you take a private tour you can do tour and transfer with luggage to cover things, it will be a long day to cover all. Or you can explore the town of San Antonio wich has not too much but you can relax and feel more local culture as it not touristic. In a way WE help them to develop the area more touristic and get more jobs !

This is what my travel agent told me and they are connected with local guides in each port like (liz2arg at yahoo dot com) to organize cruiseship passengers first class private tours.

  4. Wow! Lot of explanations. I organize all by local tour guides in each port with a Buenos Aires Tour Operator : LIZ Concierge services.

This is a person that answer you and is connected with chile, uruguay , brasil and peru. And lead in Buenos Aires.

No platforms. No intermediates. No unknown guides. All are independent and they live through word of mouth so they don´t have to pay anyone to get clients, they are not a marketing solution. They are history people, architectures, licensed guides, economists, very interesting and all madure people that are really experts and bilinguals contact her at

  5. Tigre is beatiful and a relax day close to the city. You can do just the navigation or you can explore more the north part of the city in that tour to learn about the history of that area before the navigation . That is what we did and we pass through the President House!

There are many options to do other things there but is risky for the cruiseshipassengers for the time to embark so go to the classic. Is highly recommended to control the time by a private tour or a group tour but small. Buenos Aires Local Guide was our provider (liz2arg at yahoo dot com)

  6. The big cities are interesting as you learn the differences between the southamerica culture. Is not the same Brasil , than Uruguay , than Chile than Argentina. Buenos Aires is the main stop in Argentina as many people end or start their cruiseship so , to have a welcome by a local guide is highly recommended as they put you in a context to learn and they are all connected between different countries and help to find local adventures or just cultural activities in each city. You must book in advance ! the good ones are almost booked and then you have to run and book commercial tours or unknown guides. If you build a group is better to reduce cost but if you want to do a private tour it will be just for you. We did it with a lovely lady and her team Buenos Aires Local Guide (liz2arg at yahoo dot com)

  7. Is a small entrance that change if you have luggage or if you dont.

If you hire a personal guide as we did is perfect as she was with the cell connected all time and we never felt lost.

Find her at trip advisor or read her simple blog at

I spent some time but I did a local great experience with the tour manager Liz Andrea (liz2arg@yahoo.com) top 10 in Trip Advisor.

Luxury Travel Award. Small Groups. Private Tours.

  10. The only way to do what you want like this is getting a private tour or small group tour. There are many independent not commercial guides that when they are good they open their own services and can personalized. If you can join a group you can be flexible as you request. We did it with the best tour guide in buenos aires (liz tour guide buenos aires ) who is top in trip advisor for years same as google search.

  11. We did the city with EVA PERON included. The guide focus the tour into the dynamic of the group. Is a little more expensive tour but they are like BeSpoke so they focus on personalized and quality tours.

    company: LIZ BUENOS AIRES

name of guide: Liz Andrea and partner.

Port: Buenos Aires but she can recommend others

  12. We did same trip and Ushuaia was our favorite place.

We walked San Martin street also. We went into a "thematic Museum" wich was fabulous about the history of the expeditionaries around that southamerica land.

We also saw many penguins !!!! lovely!!!! prepare a nice jacket waterproof and windstopper. sunscreen.

Our tour guide in Buenos Aires told us about little things to do as she was travelling around the world.

If you will stop in Buenos Aires I highly recommend her:

    liz andrea

    liz2arg@yahoo.com

join a group as she can do a small group tour in buenos aires with her excellent know how and english

we found her in trip advisor as one of the top guides in buenos aires for private tours.

    Enjoy it!

  13. We saw 2 in our 2 visits to Buenos Aires

We did a tango dinner show at one of the most exclusive places and we don´t know about tango but was FANTASTIC.

And the next day we arrange with our tour guide to visit a tango club as she is a tango dancer and , if she is not tired after all day of touring, she do a tango tour.

The tango tour was very intersting as it is out of the touristic circuit. You have to arrange that in advance to catch her and also organize a group to do it.

You will be like a local.

Time is about 4 hours. Eat is not the most important thing but she explained us the history and origins of tango and the rules and dress codes and it was a unique experience.

    Her web (http://www.lizflor2.blogspot.com)

    Her mail is liz2arg@yahoo.com

  14. I did a full day where I covered the city sighseeing plus history of

    Evita

    Jewish

    Tango

So I can recommend the specific visits (take time! is a big city) or the general visit with some strenght on some topics

We did it with Liz Andrea (liz2arg@yahoo.com)

  15. We did a tour with the owner directly into a Vip Private Tour by Liz Andrea.

Yes she has a website but is a simple blog as she got many clients after 15 years of working by herself. Is a small company but very vip stylish.
