  1. Does anyone know if Celebrity allows people with small folding scooters on their regular tours?  Some tours specifically state those with wheelchair and scooters should not sign up but others are silent on that fact.  They do have special tours that are accessible for wheelchairs but they are very expensive and I really don't need them as I just need to be able to stash my scooter.  When on Princess they took us on the regular tours and just stashed the scooter under the bus or somewhere on the vehicle.  Please advise.

  2. Haven't been on a European cruise and have not exchanged money for a while. I know that most of our costs are charged to our credit card on the cruise. I will be primarily in the UK with excursions and with a side trip to Paris in June. I have a few questions. Is it a good idea to bring American dollars in cash in some amount? Is it better to take some cash and go to an exchange place or use an ATM to withdraw British pounds via a credit or debit card? Where do you get the best rate? I am assuming I might need a little money here and there during the side trips for souvenirs, tips, food, etc. so I don't want to be without any money. I have some old travelers checks never used. Can they still be used at hotels in London or elsewhere? Thx.

  3. I used to buy things from them but they are quite expensive and I can duplicate many of the easy care easy wear travel clothes by shopping at places like J. Jill, Chicos, HSN, QVC, etc. or other places. Most places now carry synthetic lightweight knits that pack and travel well and you can even hand wash them and hang on a hanger to dry.

  4. I bought my cruise from a travel agent company. The cruise credits did not show up in my Princess cruise account. I called the agent and she said I had to fill out an on line form to get the credits. There was a 21 day window before the cruise or it would be forfeited. So if you got the credits from a travel agency as part of a promotion deal, call them and see. Also if you pay for anything in advance you can't use your credits because they are only ship board credits. So I did not pay for my excursions I only reserved them.

  5. We are packing thin water resistant rain jackets with hood. They have little warmth. So we are packing a fleece type jacket as well. We can wear the fleece jackets alone or put it under the rain jacket which is more like a windbreaker. It can be chilly at sea and up in Orkney. We will also pack small umbrellas.

  6. We booked our cruise with a travel agent for the British Isle cruise in June on the Carribean Princess. With our booking we got a 600 dollar credit to use on board the ship to pay for things. I am trying to figure out how we will use this money. It can't be used to pay for the cruise itself obviously and has to be spent on board. I've done some research and people talk about drink card, ice cream, spas, coffee card, water, etc. and none of these interest us much, maybe the coffee and water might be something. I'll have to look into whether side trips can be paid for using the credits. Any ideas how this can be used ?

  7. I am going on a European cruise on the Carribean Princess in June. I want to avoid bringing too many clothes so trying to figure out what to wear on formal nights. I plan on wearing some long flowy black pants and sparkly or silky tops and jewelry with a pair of nice black flat-ish sandals. Other pieces I have are chiffon vests or tops that look like they are hand painted which I would wear over a solid top with a sparkly necklace and earrings. I don't want to wear skirts or dresses, cocktail dresses, gowns or the like. I don't wear jeans or shorts so those don't even figure into the equation. Please advise if this is okay.
