  1. So me and my fiance have to get married prior to sailing, he has a family member who is sick and very important to us who needs to be there when we get married.... Also for other personal reasons... So the plan was to do a vow renewal... So I called carnival assuming I could bring my marriage certificate when we get on board.... Nope they need it when you book. My other option is to basically pay 2,000 dollars for the same thing, and then still have to send them a marriage certificate a month before the sailing.... I just needed to vent

  3. Ok fellow cruise critic cruisers, I am having some difficulty choosing between and 8 day Western carribean with stops in Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay,Belize, and cozemel aboard the carnival glory. OR a 6 day aboard the Carnival splendor. Going to Nassau, Half moon cay , Amber cove and Grand turk. There is less then a hundred dollar difference between the two. What is the better ship? better itnereary ? I have been to the bahamas and dont mind going back if that is the better option. I should also mention we are having our wedding on board (technically getting married prior to leaving)

  5. Me and my fiance are starting to plan our wedding... He wants a cruise wedding.. And I wanted a resort wedding... Being that it's my second wedding I gave in... We have picked may of 2017...is it to late to book? I am getting nervous... We looked at two cruises.. Carnival vista and carnival splendor.... How soon in advanced should I have booked?

  6. My eight year old daughter has never been on a boat. I purchased some kids dramamine but I heard it had side effects. We leave tomorrow morning do you think I should give her some in the morning before the boat or just see how she is.... This kid does not get sick from anything she goes on Rollercoasters and any other ride you can imagine. Is it sill of me to worry about sea sickness

  8. Erinchristine38 - you should be able to request and have a car seat made available by the big transfer companies in Orlando and Cocoa Beach. We used a small independent company and they were able to provide seats no problem.

If you'd like to let the group know what ship and itinerary you're sailing you'll get some specific tips/tricks to make your vacation more enjoyable. In the mean time here are the two reviews I have written while cruise with my wife and DD.

We are sailing from NY, to Florida, Bahamas. Norwegian gem :)

  9. Me, my DH, and two children (8 and 8 months) will be going on the gem. Leaving from NYC to the Bahamas on September 5.(best birthday gift ever). This is our first cruise and I am having alot of anxiety about conquering the unknown with children. There is bound to be some point that we all split up.. Is there anyway for DH to get in touch w me if we aren't together on the boat? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep in touch with people at home so I can check on the dog and my oldest can check in with her dad?

    Thank you in advanced!
