  1. We sailed on the Victory 2 Spring Breaks ago and loved the ship. There were movies on some nights, nut since it was in the middle of March Madness, they also played the big games on some afternoons/evenings. Hope you get to see something good, enjoy your cruise!

  2. We were on the Dream 4 weeks ago. Had no problems at all navigating the ship. We have been on 5 ships and this was the easiest to find our way around that we have been on. We are old and were drunk.

Thanks for the laugh Bob - good to know even if old and drunk we could find our way!

Going on the Dream for the first time next summer, so excited to see for myself!

  3. the drink coupon can be used at the java cafe for a milkshake too..thats what i use my coupon for...best milkshake at sea :D

Yes! Love their milkshakes! Our favorite is the Neapolitan - it just ends up looking like chocolate, but you can taste all three flavors in it. Some of the best staff will even drizzle the cup first with Ghirardelli chocolate sauce before pouring the shake in. YUM!

  4. First - Congratulations!

My brother and sister-in-law got married 2 1/2 years ago on the Imagination and it was fantastic! They had about 40 people at the wedding, a little more than half of us were cruising but the rest were only on for the wedding and reception before being escorted back off. The Carnival photographers captured amazing photos during and after the wedding, and then did a video over the next day or so of them around the ship, and asking/answering questions about each other. I don't know how much it all cost, but will say it was all very much worth it (in my opinion). You will not be able to capture those images another time. To this day I have regret over pictures I didn't get at my own wedding 15 years ago!

Enjoy your wedding and your cruise!

  5. I was first diagnosed with gallstones and managed with only a few attacks for 3 years before one attack just wouldn't stop. That one sent me to the ED with pain that wouldn't go away and I had to have it out. Went home the next day and was up and around pretty much like normal the next. I think only you can choose, but either way would be fine. Either manage what you eat (which would be hard I think!) or have it out and rest for a few days.

Whichever you choose, have fun on your cruise!

  6. I've seen Mr Sanchos mentioned in several posts - what is this place and what is great there?

I've done cruises to Ensenada, Caribbean, and Mediterranean, but next summer is my first time to Cozumel, I think this is where someone mentioned it was?

  7. Main dining room port day breakfast: baked apple, french toast, over medium eggs and a side of hollandaise!

Lunch: Guys cheeseburger with mayo & BBQ sauce, or lido salad bar (or both!), Blue Iguana chicken tacos

Main Dining room: spring rolls, BBQ chicken flatbread, strawberry soup,

Cucina del Capitano: calamari app, Chicken Parmesan

Late night: Pepperoni pizza from Pizza Pirate, PB&J or BLT with potato chips from room service

    The Chef's Table: everything!

  8. Glad I found this thread! Have used Uber around my own city occasionally, and when out of town on business. For past cruises out of Long Beach I have driven (live in Northern California), flown into LAX and rented a car and paid to park it in the garage, and have used Carnival's airport transfer. Wanted to try Uber this time and was pretty confident about taking it from the airport to the port, but was unsure if picking up at the port after the cruise was going to work. 26 days and counting for a Spring Break back 2 back!

  9. Hi to all

Hubby and I are going to be Platinum member on our upcoming cruise on the Conquest, March 18th Yippppeeee!! I know we are suppose to get 1 liter bottle of water free in our cabin, does anyone know it it is 1 each, I would like to know before I purchase any. Thanks and happy cruising to all!!:):)

    Babs

I feel like this is a strange question since it is already part of being Gold. Have you not been getting your water on your sailings as a Gold cruiser?

  10. We tried the Seafood Shack on the Vista last summer.

LOVED the fried clams! Fish & Chips were good! Got the Lobster Roll with butter instead of mayo - it was good to okay, have had better elsewhere, but the bread was traditional and delicious. Clam Chowder was just meh.

Excited to have the option again though this summer on the Liberty since it will have been several cruises without.

  11. Stayed in a Grand Suite when my brother and sister-in-law go married on the Imagination 2 years ago. It was a ton of fun to be there for the wedding, but having cruised many times since then on several other ships I would say the suite on those ships is not worth it. I always book balcony, except on the Inspiration/Imagination we just do an ocean view.

I would save the money and hope for some wedding gift cash and book yourself a balcony on another ship for a honeymoon. Don't get me wrong - we love the Inspiration, sailing on her for a B2B spring break trip in 37 days (but who's counting!) - but to really enjoy the price of a balcony or suite you need a 7+ day cruise on a bigger ship. IMHO.

Have an amazing time with your wedding! I thought Carnival did a fantastic job with that, and they got great pictures and video!

  12. My brother and sister-in-law got married on the Imagination 2 years ago, it was fantastic! Everyone with the wedding got to board first, and I mean first - literally - it felt fantastic! We got on at about 10:30, We had time to go to our room, grab a bite on the Lido deck, and then meet at the wedding venue at about 12:45. Their wedding was at 1pm. The ceremony was 30 minutes and then we headed to the dining room for a delicious meal - it consisted of a few items I have still never seen on one of my cruises, so not sure if they have special wedding fare?

It was so much fun seeing family on board throughout the cruise though not really scheduled to do anything together. In the day/s after the wedding, the new couple shot video and question answering around the ship. Though (I'm sure) pricey, the video and photo books the Carnival team put together were amazing - I recommend getting them!

I wanted to cruise for a long time but never did, their wedding was the push and we've been hooked ever since! Enjoy your wedding cruise!

  13. Totally new to this, Vista in June 2016 will only be our 3rd cruise. I had no idea anything like price reductions could occur and you could get the difference back? Any secrets, if you think it dropped do you just call?

I am on the June 21,2016 sailing out of Athens in an 8D Balcony on Deck 8.

This forum is enlightening! Thanks all!
