  1. Hi there ! We're going on the Dream next week and thinking about sleeping arrangements. My 5 yr old I'm hesitant about putting on top bunk since he moves all over the place in the bed. My older nephew who is staying in our cabin weighs about 230-250lbs. Does anyone know what the limit in top bunk is ? Advice on best sleeping arrangements for these two ?

    TIA

  2. Thanks all but the whole reason I'm doing DCL is to make it as easy on me as possible as I'm traveling with the kids. Lost bags can occur in any situation and I'm betting and hoping that disney has got enough checks and balances to get my bag to me ( crossing my fingers )!!

  3. I am flying in for our May cruise in 2 weeks morning of arriving at MCO at 11:30. I know it's best to fly in night before but family sweet sixteen party that night. So if I'm arriving at 11:30 what time could I expect to be at port? Trying to see if I chose right PAT. TIA !!!

  4. Thanks for the info. I am looking for a private family session not the less formal backdrop opportunities. I did one of these for our honeymoon on carnival years ago and the pictures were amazing. I will connect with the PSP once I board thank you !

  5. Moki, ex techie and Ejanns are all absolutely right!! Is it considerably more expensive probably yes but you are getting your money's worth IMHO. Having been on most of the other major carriers Disney does it different and does it better. Having also been on the Dream with nearly 4000 other people I was shocked how it felt so organized and unchaotic. No kid tantrums or screaming!!! With the exception of the kid/family pool it was never crowded in any of the public areas as it has on other carriers and that to me is worth the mark up alone.

Another nice thing as you and your wife are traveling without kiddo responsibilities DCL was VERY good at enforcing the no kids policy in the adult sanctuary areas unlike on carnival and royal. So being experienced cruisers you've undoubtedly seen every port and every excursion but to me DCL makes the ship part of the trip to enjoy!!

  6. Will look out for that Moki and great point MCC !! I was browsing around and there are cards with better rewards % and no annual fee ( which I agree is nuts to pay). Someone else also mentioned that the Disney gift cards may also be available on the discount gift card sites so I will check there and report back!!

    Thanks !!

  7. And your Target card will give you the ability to use it on ANY DCL cruise....a *GT booking or whatever.

Moki can you further elaborate on this? I was thinking of applying for the Disney Visa but it sounds like that target option is better to save some cash on trip... hey every little bit helps right? LOL!!!

How does the Disney gift card work into it? Are they purchased at a discount?

    TIA!!!

  8. True on all points!! But I expected it to be overpriced as is for most cruises especially given the Disney markup ( LOL). I always seem to miss the embarkation day tour and Raffle since I'm always running around accommodating everyone else but this time should be different !!

For the rainforest pass is it better to buy ahead of time or once on board?

    As always thanks !!!

  9. You may want to check out executiveviplimousine.com. I was quoted $250 for 6 people round trip WDW to PCanaveral and then to airport after the cruise. So far they are very responsive to my questions so I reserved them. They have good rating on TripAdvisor

I did check with executive And for 2 ppl it still looks like DCL is the best option since that $30 pp and executive as well as happy limo was $130 plus tip

  10. Ok so trying to figure this out for the most sense logistically since I'm trying to maximize my time at the park post cruise, as I'm only doing 2 days in the experienced opinion which is a better option for just the 2 of us:

1- DCL transfers to AOA ? Or alternatively can I go straight to the park ?

2- private transfer for 2 from DCL to AOA?

Yes the money matters BUT most importantly I value the time and EASE of the transitions since I will be traveling alone with the small kiddo.

    As always TIA !!!!

  11. They DO NOT take care of your luggage "the whole way thru" if you are going from the cruise terminal to WDW. They take your luggage from outside the door to your cabin to the cruise terminal. YOU claim the bags in the terminal and take them thru Customs and to the bus (or other transportation) to WDW. I was REALLY pissed when we took the bus to AKL--they dropped us and our bags at the lower drive thru' date=' rather than with the bellman! OK, so it was only 4 steps up to the upper drive, with the bellman next to it. But there I was with my disabled daughter who is unable to walk the steps and the luggage and no help at all. Thanks a bunch, guys!

    O.[/quote']

OK got it :) Thank you so much !! :D

  12. Thank you moki'smommy !!! I went ahead and cancelled my DCL airfare and booked through Delta for half of what I was paying through DCL and kept the transfers.

When I called to reserve with WDW for the resport stay my dates were already sold out for Art of animation so guess I'm keeping my DCL reservation for the resort but the WDW agent did mention that for single rooms at the value resorts they very rarely go on sale unless I'm doing a package deal.

Again thank you cause your advice just saved me some $$ :D
