We are going to Montego Bay in just a few weeks on Carnival Triumph, I was wondering is it possible to do things like go to Rose Hall on our own or should we book through Carnival? I also want to go the beach at Doctor Cave's. We will have our 3 yr old DD with us. How much are taxis's there?

We have an excursion booked in grand Cayman for February 10. Our ship is coming from Galveston and we should be there from 7 to 4. Is that grand Cayman time or ship time?

I am having the same problem. the count down is killing me. i am not sure what you do for a job, but for me i am in school so i am counting down the days/weeks i have left in the semester and then i know i don't have much longer to go. for the weeks that i am not in school, i plan on getting ready and possibly go to the zoo.

Our daughter and I sent in our passport applications last Monday. Checked their status today and they are in the final stage of processing. Says we should receive them on or by next Wednesday. We opted for regular service. Can't believe they are almost done already.
WOO HOO! Let the planning begin. :D
this is awesome. We still need to get this done too. we leave for our cruise in about 100 days. good to know they are moving pretty fast to get them done.

Set up a small schedule. Try to do several activities together throughout the day. There will be plenty of time for both of you to do your own thing and still hang out as a family.
i have read that you should get walkie talkies to keep in contact too. Wow you are such a great big brother. i am sure you'll both have lots of fun.

Has anyone used packing cube? Did you like them? I am thinking of getting some for our trip in February. Just curious if others have used them and they were helpful.

I loved reading your review. We are sailing into those exact ports in Feb on the Triumph. If all goes well, which it will, i am going to start planning our next cruise. I am hoping to get more people to join us for the next one. I can totally see us becoming cruise addicts. I am a planner like you, I have been doing research from the moment i book our cruise in late Aug.
we are taking our 3 yr old with us, i am so excited for her to experience things i did not get a chance to do at age, due to the fact we were lower middle class and my mother is deathly afraid of open water.
How did you like Dr. Caves beach?

As soon as I come home from a cruise, they go straight into the "cruise box" for the next cruise.
I love the idea of the cruise box. I am totally going to do that once we get back from our first cruise in Feb.
I am a list person myself. I have started doing my research and looking into things that other cruisers have said that they bring on cruises and added some of those things to my list.

Not sure if we should get trip insurance or not. Has anyone bought trip insurance and ever used it? is it worth getting?

I will be in Cozumel in Feb with my DH and DD who is 3. I want to do the Dolphin Swim either at Chankanaab Park or Dolphin Aquarius. the others will not be participating in that adventure with me, unless they let my 3yr do it with me. i am in need of some ideas of other things to do that will not require a lot of money. we are on a budget. Should we stay at one place the whole time we're in port? i need help.

Thank you. I think we will just get the books for myself and DH but the card for our 3yrold

We are headed to the Caribbean on a closed loop from Galveston. Wondering what would be the best idea a passport book or the card? Me and my daughter are both have birth certificates but my DH just became a citizen. We were thinking it would just be easier to get a passport. Just not sure I which one. Please help!

Crazy question? Can we book a dolphin swim right there at the park?
-
Has anyone done the rose hall tour without going through the cruise ship? How was it? How much would a taxi be to get there?

What are some of the best things to do with a 3 yr old in Montego Bay? We will be in port for about 7 hrs.

Going on my first cruise in February on the triumph. Was wondering if there were special days that the spa gives discounts? And if there were days or evenings when it's free?

We will be Cozumel in February. I want to do the dolphin swim with my 3yr. My DH doesn't want to do this. He doesn't know how to swim. He is a professional photographer and will be taking our pics. How can he take our pics? Also does he have to pay to get into the park?

I really appreciate the information. He will just have to deal with it if she wants to go there for the day(s) we are on board.

Thanks for the info .

So we are taking our toddler with us on our very first cruise. DH is a bit scared to leave her with the camp. I personally think she would have fun. Can we stay with her for a bit to ease his mind?

We are booking our 7 night cruise with carnival to the Caribbean out of Galveston in February. This will be our very first cruise. We are bringing our DD who will be 3 at time of sailing. Any tips on things to do and not to do? What should we expect? How does the sail and sign work? How much will they charge my cc?
