Well, the cruise leaves from the EU (Barcelona) and ends in the EU (Rome) and only stops in EU ports (France and Italy)... so this should be proof enough I think. I totally agree with sampling local cuisine and will do that, we are also spending a few days before and after the cruise in the EU. Was just planning on getting some food for the couple of days that have a really packed schedule just in case.

it seems like you've already made up your mind and have an argument for everyone that tells you it isn't allowed.... just saying...

Why not try it out and report back and let us know if you got away with it?

    Hi

I’m traveling with lots of friends and I was wondering if it is possible to request a table of 10 for all of us. We currently have 830pm

    Thanks

May be easier in the long run to get switched to MYTIME dining and make reservations for each night.

so,,, why didn't you select the drinks package as your free perk? If you booked a rate saying "I don't want free drinks", then you either have to pay by the drink, or pay full retail price ($99/day + 20% gratuity). Everyone who wants to drinks, pays a few bucks more for a cabin class where drinks are included.

we did choose the perk, but it's only for the first 2 people in the room. we will also have our son with us so, for him to have a drink package as well, it will be an $826.00 which is more than his fare, hence my frustration.

  4. Just a little rant.

I have a hard time with the price of NCL's drink packages. I wonder how they justify charging nearly $40. per day more (not including gratuities) than  the other cruise lines (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, ETC) and not offer as much? I think $100 a day( plus gratuity) should at least cover bottled water. I've only ever cruised RCCL but their 59.00 a day package covers coffees, bottled water and even milkshakes,on some ships.

My best friend and I booked an NCL  trip for our families out of New York for Feb. of 2021 because we figured it would be neat to go out of Manhattan, but I'm really starting to rethink it.

Am I the only one who is bothered by this?? I'm thinking not, it's just plain ridiculous!

    Rant over.

  5. I booked a cruise on the Vista out of Galveston.. I looked into the Cheers package and read that cruises leaving out of Texas cannot activate the package till day 2... but when I did the math, Carnival is still charging for the full 7 days.... has anyone else run into this?

  6. We were just in Curacao last month.... loved it.. we booked an excursion that was a lil tour of the city and 3 hrs at a beach... there were lounge chairs, shade trees, and bathrooms... also there was a snack bar or two..there is a breakwater out about 100yds so the water is very calm and allows great snorkeling.

We had a great time... we booked through the ship and it was $30pp.

There were plenty of tour groups selling various excursions right off the ship.

Aruba was not my cup of tea.. there were some neat sights but with all the high rise resorts, it kinda felt like the whole "island" experience wasn't there and I felt like I was in Miami...

    Just my 2 cents....

    Enjoy your trip!

  7. Folks can say what they want but I USUALLY use a lanyard while on the ship. .. make it more convenient for ME...

Helps me keep track of it and I don't have to worry about it falling out of a pocket...

When I go ashore, I remove it from the lanyard and put it it my wallet with my $$ and credit cards...

If people wanna laugh at the "dork" with his seapass in a lanyard.... have at it... at least I gave you something to talk about.... heck... I'll even pose for a picture so you can tell all you friends at work.

  8. The floating market is to the left after you cross the "pontoon bridge" otherwise known as the Queen Emma Bridge.

About a block away is Plasa Bieu also known as the old market. Plasa Bieu originally started out as a market area where the women from town would sell food and wares. During lunch time they had small grills that they would cook their own food on for their lunch to eat and soon locals and visitors started requesting that they make this food for them as well and the market eventually transformed into the food stalls / food court that it is today.

    Thank you!!
