  1. Hello,

I am cruising 4/3 on the BA. I wanted to know if anyone has seen booster seats in the restaurants or dining rooms. My 4 year old should be fine since he is pretty tall but I would rather not put my 2 year old in a high chair since she doesn't sit in one at home or other places we go eat. I am hoping they have some. Thanks for any input.

  2. Sure, Google and you'll find just as many articles talking both sides of this. I'm no doctor, and I don't really care. (To be honest, I'm not sure why the OP asked for this info on a cruise forum anyway). However, the question was about sugar. If you truly don't believe that fructose is a sugar, then I can't help you. Have a great night!

Well LrgPizza, I asked the question just like others ask questions. I wanted to know other suggestions and if they ordered special drinks for either no sugar or low sugar. I did not know that we had to ask only about the cruise ship itself. No need for the negativity. To many things in this world to be negative about. If you do not want to respond then don't. Thanks for the info anyway.

  3. I thought I remember seeing that they have the skinny mixers for margaritas and mojitos but it has been awhile since I looked.

That would be great if they have skinny mixers on board. I am sure my dad and husband will be off at the bars so all these suggestions will be great to have while my mom and I are walking around with the kids and I can help pick some stuff out for her. She has never really been a drinker so something light.

  4. I found 6skinny girl pineapple coconut water enhancer (liquid) and order vodka soda and squirt my own stuff in! I prefer it over a pina colada any day! My sister skips the club soda for just plain water and vodka. Lemonade flavor or any other flavor works too.

  5. Hi!

I am going on the BA soon with my husband and 2 kids and I am so glad that my parents will be able to join me. Believe it or not but my parents have never really been on a nice vacation. They work so hard and deserve a break so I am dragging them along with me. My question is about the alcoholic drinks. Are there any drink suggestion that have either a sugar free option or a low sugar option. I know the basic Rum and diet coke but since my mom is diabetic I wanted to be able to help her pick something at the bar other than that. Has anyone ordered a "sugar-free" version of some drinks?? I want her to be able to relax with a slushy drink in her hand. Thanks for any suggestions.

  6. I am also on this sailing and my husband just asked me the exact same questions. I hope someone can give some advice. I have heard the seas are rough this time of the year. I hope not [emoji53][emoji53]

  7. It all depends on which terminal. It is about a 10 minute walk and less than a 2 minute drive unless there is traffic to terminal 1 where the NCL Spirit left from. It would be a kind of long walk over to Disney or Carnival, but it is still less than a 10 minute drive (maybe more like 5) and it is much easier to squeeze into a full shuttle when you are alone and without luggage than 7 people and luggage.

Let me know if we can help in any other way.

Are there any shuttles at night that pick up from the rental agencies? Or best to call a cab? We leave the port at 9 pm on NCL.

  8. I have another question. If I rent a van on the day we stop in Port Canaveral and drop it off after hours (since we get to port at 1 pm and leave at 9 pm), is there a reliable cab company that anyone knows of that could pick up 6 people. I would rather not hire 2 cabs. I am thinking Sea World would be our best choice with renting a car. If we get to Sea World by 2 and leave by 6 we should be pretty good. I am so scared of missing the ship so I want to be back really early. Thanks for any suggestions

  9. We love to be stuck with our kids at Disney Springs for 5 or more hours. :D I guess it just depends on what you and your kids like. We go there before and/or after every cruise out of Canaveral or Tampa even without our kids.

Well I looked online and I did not see that much for us to do other than shop and eat. I would love it but I know my 2 and 4 year old might get tired of that. Maybe I am missing something. My husband wanted to do Sea world but it is just that time frame that we get to Orlando. After picking up the rental and driving to Sea world it will be about 3 or so in the afternoon. The rental car place closes at 4 pm. I dont really feel that comfortable leaving the car in an after hours box and if they have any questions they would not be able to contact me for another 4 or 5 days. This is the only port that I am having issues with.:confused::confused:

    and the dinosaur store

Thanks. I was thinking about the zoo. So I guess I need to find a shuttle to get us there and back. We dock at 1 pm and leave at 9. I don't really like those times but oh well....

  11. Well I guess this plan would not work if the transfer only picks up and drops off at a certain time. That would mean we could be stuck there for 5 or more hours. I just wondered what else we could do with the kids that did not cost $200 per person almost and the kids are to small to really get on any rides. I guess the rental car is the best then. Or maybe if I can find a shuttle service that can take us and pick us up at the time we request. Well if anyone has any suggestions on things to do while in Port Canaveral I am up for suggestions. Thanks

  12. Hello,

I had a couple of question with the hopes that someone could help me try and plan something for our stop in Port Canaveral. We are leaving on the NCL Breakaway from NYC and one of the stops is Port Canaveral. There are 6 of us total. I would love to go to Disney but after reading some reviews I see that it is not really worth it for such a short amount of time. I wondered about taking the NCL transfer to Disney and just going to Downtown Disney (I think the new name is Disney Springs but not sure). Will this work? Has anyone tried it? I would not mind renting a van but then I would have to get 2 car seats since I am bringing my 2 and 4 year old with us and i rather not chance it because my luck would be that we end up late and missing the ship. So any suggestions would be great. Thanks
