  1. "There are only two types of people who predict the weather, weathermen and fools."

The earlier thread was correct in stating the hurricane season is June through the end of October......throughout the tropics. We, in Florida, just dodged a possible hurricane and we will get wet early this week from the left over parts of the storm. Things to remember: Not only is this our hurricane season but it is also the rainy season here and in the tropics. Lynne and I are cruising on RC for a southern swing in late October and are prepared for some stormy weather somewhere along the way. Bring along your raincoat and umbrella and enjoy the cruise. Don't expect your cruise line to sail through any extreme weather; you are a paying guest and the line wants you to have a great experience. Your safety is at hand along with an expensive ship they own. You may experience some weather days and maybe not. It's nature. Take it all in stride and enjoy your cruise.

  2. Thanks to all who responded to my email concerning hotel, parking & ride to Port Everglades.

Good news to all who are on their way to Florida for whatever reason this week. No hurricane, maybe more rain on the Left Coast near Tampa. It is the rainy season here. The weather will only affect the scalloping season and me out on the boat.

  3. Lynne & I are cruising on the Serenades of The Seas on November 23rd of this year. We will travel to Ft Lauderdale from Bradenton, FL the night before and stay at someone's hotel. We are hoping for a package which allows us to park the car for the duration of the cruise, get a ride to the cruise (and hotel return) along for a one night stay at the hotel. Any ideas?
