Pae, did you take a taxi from the pier to Sapphire Beach? If so how much did it cost per person? How much were the chairs? Is food served at the beach bar?c
Thanks for your report.
Hi LittleYiaYia,
Not Pae, but we were there last week. They've done a good job of cleaning up hurricane debris and the beach area looked better than I had anticipated. Water was nice and views were beautiful. Taxi for us was $10pp one way from Havensight cruise port. Chairs were $9 ea. Get there early and some shade trees are available. You'll likely be sharing the shade with some friendly iguanas, lol. Limited menu (burgers, dogs, grilled cheese...) at the grill. Bar has resumed serving frozen drinks. Snorkel and fins rental was $5/hr if interested. It was a good day. Have fun!

Hi can you give me an idea of the taxi from the cruise port to Dickerson beach?.
Thanks
Hi Ajwnlw,
We were there last week. A taxi for two of us from the cruiseport to Dickinson was $12 one way. Driver was a colorful character named "Spice Tea". He gave us his card and returned for us that afternoon. It was a good day. Have fun!

nice shirt ? Also, black sneakers or nice sandals won't work ? I'm a guy btw & just wondering how enforced the "policy" is ...
On the Sun last week with UDP. Ate at Cagney's twice and LeBistro once. Saw evening diners in Cagney's wearing sneakers, sandals, shorts or jeans. LeBistro diners wore more dressy clothing. I wasn't paying much attention to it but didn't see anyone turned away.

Anyone use Shore Excursioneer for Belize?
Was looking for recent experiences...I can't seem to find much on them. Husband wants to cave raft and I want to fly to the Shark snorkel.
Thanks!
Yes. We used them to book the Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley tour in Belize that we were just on last week. We've also used them in Cozumel. Both were good experiences. I would not hesitate to book with them again.
Happy cruising!

Can anyone tell me if I purchase a future cruise credit can I apply that credit as a payment to an existing future booking that I have already made?
We were on the Sun last week and purchased two future cruise credits. I asked the consultant if we could use these toward an existing booking and she said "yes" as long as we had not made our final payment. Of course, we haven't tried this yet but it may be worth a try.
BTW, that's an impressive list of cruises you have lined up there!
Happy cruising!

CABIN #: 6214
SHIP: Equinox
DECK #: 6
CLASS: 1A
AREA: Starboard Midship
BED NEAR: Bath
QUIET?: Quiet
BALCONY VIEW: Excellent. No problems here. Almost 180 degrees outward. This is the last room before the hump so the balcony is angled slightly forward. The lifeboats are on deck 5 below when looking forward. You can see directly downward to the water through a small forward-facing area of the balcony. A large white storage container sits directly below the aft-half of the balcony.
BALCONY SIZE: HUGE. Best in class!
WIND A PROBLEM?: No. It is deep enough to enjoy the sun and/or breeze or be totally out of it.
SOOT A PROBLEM?: No.
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The Equinox is a beautiful ship. You will have a great time! Some minor comments about the cabin: 1) you will hear creaks and noises if you experience rough seas with some rocking and rolling as we did a couple of days; 2) during mid afternoons, you may hear some pumps working periodically; and 3) you are close to the elevators so you have great access to them. You may hear the band playing in the deck 3 atrium area next to the elevators in the early evenings. We heard some of this but none of it was a problem for us. Your mileage may vary. Have fun and enjoy your cruise! -
We enjoyed our tour with Dora last week. It was our first time to Cartagena and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The old town was beautiful!
A little side note about what kind of person Dora is. The last stop on our tour was a small, but nice shopping area. We had expressed an interest in purchasing some emeralds and asked for some recommendations. Dora recommended two stores: Emerald Fire and Mr. Emerald which were close to each other. (The ship had recommended Adriana's and Mr. Emerald). We ended up making a purchase at Mr. Emerald. Dora then told us that Mr. Emerald is actually a competitor or hers in the tour organizing business. I think it speaks well of her character that she would direct her customers to a competitor for their purchase of goods.

Help! I am trying to scedule our Alaska cruise, and I don't know if it is better to do the helicopter/glacier/dog sledding in Skagway or Juneau? Or is there not much difference? Any information would be greatly appreciated; thank you!
We we went dogsledding with Coastal in Juneau a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time. Others CCers on our cruise went in Skagway and they had a good time as well.
According to BQ, dogsledding is the most cancelled excursion. Our trip was not a "Go" until the last minute due to weather. We went an alternate route with a more experienced helicopter pilot and got is some extended flightseeing which was great. An earlier group had made it in but they had not been able to return to get them. They were really glad to see us when we arrived. Our return from camp was also delayed, but that was okay with me as we were not pushed for time. Coastal will offer a glacier walk or refund if the dogsledding is cancelled. So, you may want to have a back-up plan in place.
Enjoy your trip

We did this tour with Christelle last week. Ditto all the above!
