Is the Royal Princess skipping the Inside Passage on all sailings this summer and navigating west of Vancouver Island???

We leave in two weeks and curious if this was standard or a one time event.

On your recent cruise, did the Royal sail west of Vancouver island or were they able to navigate the inside passage?

Not sure if they are forced to avoid the inside passage on all the sailings this summer or if that was just an isolated event??????

Has anyone taken the Princess bus shuttle from Anchorage to Whittier (I think it leaves from the convention center) ????  Can you comment if this worked well, when you arrived at the port and what time you were allowed to board the Royal Princess?

We leave for the Royal southbound Glacier cruise in a few weeks. Anyone know what time they usually allow passengers to board?

The train arrives right after lunch and it looks like the ship sails 8:30pm or later so that is quite a long time.

Any suggestions train vs the bus?   Also......….how far was the train from the ship?

I read no porters available in Whittier?
