  1. I received the UDP perk for my upcoming 7 day cruise this weekend (entitled to 4 meals).

We have made reservations at four restaurants. If we decide to eat lunch at Sushi, Raw Bar, Noodles, etc., does that count as one of our meals?

If it does count as a meal, how do they deipher which meals are charged, and which aren't if you go over you meal allotments?

    Thanks in advance.

So I made changes to my questions based on the SDP. Changes in red. Sorry

  2. You mentioned "entitled to 4 meals" - which makes me think that you may have the Freestyle Choice promo: "Specialty Dining Package", not UDP (which appears to allow Specialty Dining every night).

I think the details between the two packages are quite different. If you have the "Specialty Dining Package", does it offer a discount at other times? I haven't read that anywhere (but I haven't found too many details on it)...

Correction, I did just look and mixed them up. I have the SDP which I received as a Freestyle Perk. So if someone could clarify for the SDP that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  3. I received the UDP perk for my upcoming 7 day cruise this weekend (entitled to 4 meals).

We have made reservations at four restaurants. If we decide to eat lunch at Sushi, Raw Bar, Noodles, etc., I know we get 25% off, but does that count as one of our meals?

If we eat at the four restaurants and on Day 5 we decide to go to one of the above places, do we still get the 25% discount, is it throughout the entire cruise?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Similar experience last night for our upcoming cruise Sunday on the Getaway. Called for the $50 pp upgrade from an Oceanview Gauruntee to a Balcony Gauruntee. It seemed that as I was calling the prices were in the process of being dropped and got the upgrade for free and got to keep my two perks (UBP, SDP).

The part that makes me even more excited is that today I checked the reservation and saw we were assigned an aft-balcony. So if anyone has any info on 14876 on the Breakaway/Getaway it will be greatly appreciated.

  5. Hi all long time lurker, first time poster. I tried to do some research, but found conflicting reports.

Yesterday, my GF and I booked our first NCL cruise on the Getaway later this month. We took advantage of the promo this past weekend in which we got the two Freestyle Promos for any stateroom booked. We chose the Specialty Dining and Ultimate Drink Package.

We booked an Oceanview Gauruntee (OX) because it was the category we were happy with, and it was the only stateroom choice they were offering in that category. Since it's so close to sailing we booked and paid in full. This morning I see we were assigned our stateroom, and as we expected were assigned an OB category, which we are happy with.

My question is....my GF has always wanted to get a balcony on a cruise, and if I monitor prices in the coming weeks and the Balcony, Mini-Suites, or Spa Balconies come down at all I was thinking of maybe surprising her and paying the difference.

Can I call NCL if prices drop for an upsell/upgrade, and still keep our two Freestyle promos, or would they have to cancel the booking and rebook, and thus lose those perks?

If the price drops for a BX to what we paid for the OX, can I call and get upgraded like the above question, and keep the perks?

Thanks in advance for any help, look forward to our first sailing on NCL.
