We were very comfortable with second seating in MDR. When sailing with others, we requested a table for just our group, knowing that some meals the entire group would not attend. When we sailed by ourselves we requested a table for 2. BUT, when MTD was offered, we tried it. Old school second seating went overboard! On Granduer, we tried all the specialty options, including Chef's Table. There was no turning back!
On Quantum, Yippee! There was no MDR. And we went to almost ALL the complimentary and specialty restaurants. Prime Table is, by far, our #1 followed by Wonderland, then Jamie's. She Who Must Be Obeyed, aka, DW, made all the reservations.
On Anthem, we reserved our table for 2 each night of our B2B. This time we scheduled them together. We will do Vintages for tapas, Michael's for a meal or 2 and how is Divinely Decadence for dinner?
We enjoy changing attire for dinner. We enjoy a sip of the grape while prepping for dinner. As for WJ dining, that's why there are 26 flavors of ice cream; not everyone likes pistachio.

Gigi,
We did Chef's Table on Quantum and Grandeur. Both were different, delightful and delicious! On Quantum and Anthem it is called PRIME TABLE. We are booked for PT on Anthem while in Jamaica on Dec 4. We also enjoyed Wonderland on Quantum and we booked it again also on our B2B.
For a dinner for your 20th, I would choose Prime Table for that very special dining experience. For a magical mystery cuisine tour, Wonderland works well.
If you must choose, do both. After all, it is your 20th anniversary! We let the Wonderland waiter have a free hand in choosing our meal. He questioned us about allergies, preferences, likes and dislikes, etc. We then enjoyed one surprise after another! Quite the delight!
Enjoy your anniversary family cruise!

Thanks to both responses!
We were on a B2B on Explorer in 2008. We kept the same cabin.
For our Nov. B2B we booked the same cabin, but a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to upgrade to cabin on a different deck and we took it.
Looking forward to the Anthem!

My wife and I will be doing a B2B (Nov. 22 & Nov. 30) on Anthem. We will be moving from one deck to another for the second sail. Has anyone experienced moving from one cabin to another or from one deck to another, and what is the procedure?
Thanks!

Hi there and Welcome to Cruise Critic. Click on Royal Caribbean " Meet & Mingle" Roll Calls then click on Anthem and then find your roll calls for your 2 cruises by date of departure. You can chat with others that are doing the same cruise(s) that you are.
Thank you, cruisenfever and CaptData.
Will do!

Hello to all,
Long time viewer, first time posting. She, who must be obeyed, told me what B2B means. I thought of Hamlet...to be or not to be, that BE the question.
We are looking forward to our lengthiest voyage to date. We begin our Anthem cruise on Nov. 22.
Trixie 35, my much better half, has us registered for both Meet & Mingle events. The same event on Quantum, where we met many enjoyable cruisers, was a lot of fun. Hope to see more interesting Critics at both M&M get togethers! See, I can do abbreviations, too.
With respect to (wrt) dining, we have made reservations for every dinner on both sailings, including our favorite, Prime Table. If you enjoy wine dinners, you should book it.
Are any of you also B2B Nov.22/Nov.30? Hope to meet you onboard! Who knows, "Louie, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship".

A jacket is not required for Chef's Table but one is required for the Grand Dining Room.
