  1. Hi. Thinking about this trip. If anyone knows the answers to my few questions.

    1) How is the internet service and how much does it cost?

    2) Are there any indoor pools?

    3) How much would a Spa pass cost?

    Thanks,

    Phil

  2. We will be on the Summit 8/12 and looking forward to it- especially after reading your comments.

Do you know what the cheapest internet package is- besides the ones that are hundreds of $$ - which is ridiculous !! ? Can you buy minutes like we have on other ships - like 30, 60?

    Thank you!

First time that I didn't buy an internet package. Royal Carribean is $110 for unlimited. NCL is about $210 and Summit was $264. Rip-off. I day internet was $49!!! Crazy. And $25 per hour I believe.

  3. We found the prices got cheaper as we got closer to the sail date on our cruise. We booked about 95 days out and saw prices drop close to $1000 by the time we sailed. The good part was we were happy with what we paid for 2a and were upgraded to an A2 for the same price when the drops started coming. A lot really depends on how well the cruise is selling.

I know the 10 day in June was very cheap at the last minute but we couldn't make it. Looking at next June's 10 day cruise, it is so expensive but I'm sure it will drop. May go again if " The Price is Right!". Come on down!

  4. b - Thank you for the review... quick question, on departure, did you do a pass by of the Statue of Liberty?

Embarkation, was that relatively painless and quick?

I understand it will or can be different for each sailing.. we are on-board in a few weeks.

    TIA and bon voyage

You don't pass the Statue of Liberty but you see it all day from the port side. And Embarkation was very quick at 11am. Have fun.

  5. Just got off the Summit. Long time cruiser but first time on Celebrity. Our best cruise ever. Like the smaller ship. No hassle getting on or off. Best entertainment yet. The silent disco was great. Usually don't go to all the shows but did this time. All were super. Used main dining room all 7 nights and was the best food ever also. Celebrity sold me and will look to go again.:)

  6. Plus this is an emergency situation, I'm sure that factors in.

I hope all the people who were told to arrive in Galveston today for their cruise, gets their air, hotel, food costs refunded. These people are taking up hotel rooms that could have gone to emergency responders. Help is arriving from all over the country.

Our meteorologist called this situation from the Phila area last Thurs. including the 4 plus feet of rain. To the person who called him on crack.......what do you think now?

And to the person who said I got Fake News from FOX news..........:eek:

To everyone affected, God bless you all.

Fox is the only real news. You got that correct.

  7. If I were a Texan with my life turned up side down right now I suspect I'd be a bit upset with resources being spent on a perfectly functioning cruise ship. It seems that it has been fairly obvious for the past couple of days that Texas did not need the burden of the ship, its 4000 passengers, and the 4000 passengers on the next cruise all converging on Galveston today.

So now, on the scheduled day of arrival, RCI announces that ship is diverted and the 4000 people from all over the world can sit back with a sigh of relief that they no longer have to be in Galveston within the next few hours. Very interesting.

    So true.
