I'm taking a Viking cruise to Alaska on the Orion next summer. I'm wondering what the vegetarian food options are. Is it all unhealthy stuff like Fettuccine Alfredo, or are there lots of non-lettuce vegetables available. (Still recovering from having been served four asparagus spears and eight slices of summer squash as a dinner on the land portion of a cruise tour.)

If Princess can give you pricing for excursions a year in advance, Viking ought to be able to do it too.

When we go to Alaska with Viking, it will be our 5th cruise there. How many optional excursions are there? We've been on many of the included excursions, and want to do something different.

I was thinking I'd have to pack everything in one tiny bag!

We disembarked from the Golden Princess in SF on Aug. 30. We got off quickly, with no problem. The biggest hangup is the traffic on the Embarcadero, which is a SF problem, not a Princess problem.

Does anyone know the appropriate luggage size for the tour portion of the Alaskan cruisetour? We're going to have to buy new luggage for the tour portion, and I have no ideas what under-the-seat size is.
