Yes, but I would wait till closer to your due date. I called 2 days before my final payment was due for my October cruise. The Carnival rep asked why I needed an extension and I was honest and responded that I am worried about my cruise being cancelled and don't want my money tied up. She gave me a 30 extension. I plan to call again next week and ask for another extension.

My cruise is October 2nd and I feel that I am in a worse position than those that just had their cruise cancelled. I purposely choose October because I didn't want to be on one of the first cruises after the restart. I wish they would have given me the option of cancelling. Final payment is due in a couple of weeks. Ugh..

We are booked on the October 4 Glory out of New Orleans (originally was April 19) I'm pretty sure it will be cancelled at some point. I wish Carnival would just let us cancel it now without penalty so we can make other plans and try and salvage some sort of vacation this year.
Same, leaving on Oct 3rd. I picked early October because I didn't want to be on one of the first cruises out. Now it looks like we will be.

I'll be cruising solo for the first time in January. I do hope to have a cruise romance. I don't want to just stand at the bar looking easy.
Would be nice if there was some cruise equivalent to Tinder. How do you find other singles?

Check out the Hot streak casino offer. Yesterday I booked a 4 day cruise out of New Orleans on Jan 21st. Traveling solo in an interior. Only $402 with a $500 onboard credit and free drinks in casino.

Johnin DC - I'm flying into Miami. Thanks for the info. I'll check out the Hollywood area and sunny.org also.

Hi,
Looking for an affordable hotel ($150 range) as close to the beach as I can get for any October 2nd overnight stay. Any recommendations?
I realize that I might have to stay farther from the port. The most important thing to me is to be able to drop of my bags and run to the beach.
I did find The Lorriane for a good price. Anyone know anything about this hotel?

Thank you all for all the advice and not being mean. You talked some sense into me. I still want to cruise so badly but I will wait till later in the year.

I just came across a great deal for the Panoroma sailing on June 27th. This is an amazing deal that I would normally never be able to afford. I am not worried about safety, just if the cruise will be canceled. Carnival says the deal will expire tomorrow. Am I crazy to book this cruise? Any psychics out there?

Great review with lots of eye candy. Meaning your husband but the food pics are good too.;);)

Where is the father?
What does that matter? What are you trying to imply?
The girl was on vacation with her grandmother.

It becomes a "gay" thing because the reality is, that even in this day in age, society, parents, peers, etc. teach you to repress your feelings. So, forgive us when we are in a group things may be a bit more accelerated. It's a rarity to be in a fully accepting group, without judgement or fear of retaliation. Things are better, but the real world is not easy. It downright sucks. Imagine having to go to a bar, have the courage to offer to buy someone a drink, and not only get rejected, but also offend the person and potentially get a speech about how your life is wrong or not normal.
Reality is - let them have their moment. The world is cruel enough. I know, I live it it. It may not be your life and you may not approve, but that gay group on the cruise, 1 day at a theme park, etc. may be the only time each year these men and women can live without judgement. And that's why things may be a little more intense than you'd like. If you were only allowed to drink 1 week a year, you'd probably go beyond a reasonable amount of consumption. Same principal applies here.
If you want to fix the issue, work on making the world more accepting everyday, instead of trying to add judgement to the very few days your vacation happens to overlap.
Rant over.
Wow. I'm glad you posted this. I had never thought of it that way.

So the Vista cruise I have been eyeing just went up $180pp! Ugh. Now it's up in the price range of NCL Getaway and one LESS day on board!
So much for a deal! *rant over*
Are you sure? I had the same thought today when checking prices on the Vista cruise I have been eyeing. The price was one hundred dollars higher than yesterday. But as I continued with my mock booking the lower price showed on the page that ask you to select your room type. Give it a try.

Hey Mitsugirly,
I noticed when reading this latest review that the ad on top of the page is for mermaid tails. Since that is not something I have recently searched I figured the company is targeting people reading your reviews. Were you aware of this? You should get a cut each time someone clicks that ad.
Love your reviews:)

I also think you should consider the Magic out of Port Canaveral. It is a newer ship and looks like a lot of fun.
I am also from Minnesota and when doing price comparisons I found that flying into Orlando is much cheaper.

My husband was bummed that they didn't catch AMC so he missed the Walking Dead finale. And he now has to wait until we get home Saturday to watch it.
Oh no. Your husband won't be happy to see that Daryl dies in the finale................. Just kidding :D I made myself lol:D

I have room 3120 booked for an upcoming Sunshine cruise.
Here is one of the best reviews I found of 4J rooms on the Sunshine.

I agree that the Family game time package is a great deal at $18.
The package includes a beach towel that if bought separately cost $20.

Hi,
Does anyone know the average taxi fare from a Cocoa Beach hotel to Port Canaveral? It would be for 2 passengers, staying at La Quinta Inn Beachfront.
Thanks

Thank you all for letting me know about swimsuits for all.
Before I was feeling insecure about baring so much skin on my upcoming cruise but now I am feeling confident.
After reading this thread I placed an order on Wednesday and it was delivered Monday. I was really worried about buying a swimsuit online but they fit great.
I used the coupon code WELCOME2015. It is 40% off and free shipping.
The 40% off is off the original price not the sales price but of the coupon codes I tried it still gave me the biggest savings.

I was recently watching cruise vlogs and I saw many times where the lounger had the top folded down but there was not personal belongings or a towel on the chair. If the lounger has the top folded down does that mean it is being reserved?

I just wanted to let anyone that may read this know that it is also good to keep checking fare viewer for updates. Even though last week my category of rooms was showing up as sold out, it now shows room available at a deep discount. :)

I am on the Sunshine April 24, 2016. Category 4J.
When I searched my cruise on Carnival I noticed that the price listed for interiors had dropped. I guess I assumed that meant that the price for all interior categories had dropped.
So if my category is sold out does that mean it is will not be possible for me to ever benefit from a price drop?
-
I think I finally see a price reduction for the cruise I am booked on. I am trying to fill out the online price protection form for the first time.
The problem is the category I booked is sold out so I can not do a mock booking for that category (4J), nor is that category listed on fare viewer. So what do I put in the field that ask for "Total fare" ?
Also, What do I put in the field where it ask "Where was this fare?".

Are you all being notified of these cancellations by email? This will be my 3rd cruise cancelled and each time I find out through you all and not once by email. Arrgh. Getting frustrated...
