Do you swim in the Gulf of Mexico near Houston in January ? If so you won't need a wetsuit.

Nope I live in Nebraska never been swimming in the ocean and was wondering the same question as my family will be cruising in January also. :)

Thanks for replies! This is our first ever cruise so had no idea what to pack for the family! Figured it would be best to check to see if khaki shorts would be allowed for kids and men before I packed and we get there and I packed wrong for them! :)

Does the specialty restaurants allow kids/men to wear grey or colored shorts?

Thanks everyone! We have two boys 4 & 8 so thinking we are going to look into something with a little more space. I'm sure we could make our room work just trying to make it enjoyable for all. [emoji4]

For the holidays my parents booked all their kids families on the jade in January! First cruise for any of us and all very excited! As my family has been looking at our room we have been wondering if we will fit ok or if we need to look at getting a bigger room. There will be 4 in an ocean view room including two young children. Will we be comfortable for 7 days or should we look at something with more space for the kids?

If your itinerary is Belize, Roatan and Cozumel you are in for a treat. Mid-day temps usually in the 80's. Water temps are a little cool. Maybe the upper 70's. We usually cruise December thru February and the weather has been pretty good to us.

Thanks everyone! Also does anyone know what average Caribbean weather is like the beginning of January and water temperature? Will it be warm enough to enjoy beaches? We come from Nebraska so anything will be warmer than here. [emoji4]
