I beg to differ. Most cruise ship gyms have normal cardio and weight machines. That's adequate for most people. You're in a small, special category of people if you're solely a "heavy lifter." I bet you criticize Planet Fitness also. ;p
Well that seemed unprovoked.
I think the reason for the lack of barbells is more to do with safety than anything else. In a ship that's rocking, you're losing some stability - heavy & low-rep stuff could be pretty dangerous.

Is it ok to ask for travel agent recommendations on here? We're looking to book a group for a cruise and was wondering if anyone has a great go-to travel agent.

Here here. If DocF thinks beer is beer is beer, he should try something not sold in 24 packs.

Hey - I'm from the area (45 & 646 in LC).
The Specs on 518 in LC is a good-sized store - about the size of a typical CVS or Walgreens. I've never really paid attention to their wine selection (mostly beer for me), but it is probably going to have the best selection in the immediate area assuming you're staying somewhere on 45.
Otherwise, you're looking at HEB at 45 & 646 or the HEB and Kroger at South Shore and 96 which probably have the typical grocery store selection (though I remember being surprised at how much wine that Kroger @ South Shore had). Hope that helps.

Whichever cruise line is the first to tether an 800 mi-cable off the back of the ship.
