  1. We just booked a Persian Garden pass for our 14-day TA this year on Reflection. The price is $ 319.00. To my surprise they've added 18% gratuity, being $ 57.42 per person. This seems very strange to me. I buy entrance to the spa, not a service. The only contact I have with the staff is when they give me the key to open it, which should be included in the entrance fee anyway in my opinion. Also I feel a gratuity should be optional, not mandatory. Besides, I also can't remember having paid gratuity when buying the pass on board. Does anyone have experience  with this?.

Not very likely that the Reflection will be revolutionized this year.  Some here are saying 2025.  No schedule for all of the remaining ships yet.  But you will enjoy Reflection as is.

Thanks! Not being in a suite, I love acces to the Solstice sundeck, Revolutionized this would most likely become the Retreat Deck.

Following along. We are booked into a Sky Suite for our October TransAtlantic. We’ve been on Reflection before but this will be our first Retreat experience. Looking forward to hearing how it goes for you.

I read that you look forward to the retreat Experience. Will Reflection be revolutionized before your TA? We are booked on it too. Thanks.

As someone who sails in regular verandas or sometimes mini suites I’m glad most everything on HAL remains open to all.

It’s annoying on Celebrity to have the forward sun decks off limits.

I couldn't ageee more! I will not sail on a ship that doesn't hav a forward sundeck for regular cruisers.

  5. Just got an email from Celebrity. We were on Infinity in July.

    Dear Guest,

We are reaching out to provide an update on the status of your 2021 cruise vacation. The Royal Caribbean Group has been working closely with health and government authorities, in each country we sail from, to outline a clear path for cruising with new health and safety measures. As we thoughtfully plan our return to service, we are evaluating all current itineraries and the status of travel conditions around the world. This means some of our sailings will need to be modified while others will need to be cancelled. At this time Celebrity Cruises will be suspending several Summer 2021 sailings aboard Celebrity Infinity®, Celebrity Millennium® and Celebrity Reflection®.

Unfortunately, our adjusted sailing schedules will require cancellation of your upcoming cruise vacation. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes as we value your vacation time and want to ensure you have the best experience possible on a Celebrity cruise. At this time, we would like to offer you the opportunity to be re-accommodated on another Celebrity Cruises vacation or to receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) or a 100% Refund.

For all of us waiting for news on our cruises. No good news, but at least it is known now

  6. From Athens to Rome is just a few days sailing for Infinity. So as long as it is in Rome on the 4th of July, it can still start the first cruise. I hope they are picking up crew.

It's just irritating that the guests who are supposed to sail on Infinity, myself included, have no knowledge of what is happening. Normaly check in would have been open by now for cruises early in July, but that is still closed as well. If they are picking up crew, it would be nice of X to let people know.

  7. We are also booked on the 11th July cruise out of Venice on Infinity. I've contacted Celebrity several times, but no real news. You can still book the cruise, so not cancelled yet, but no Covid Agreement either, such as on Edge. I feel like I'm being taken for a ride. The way they are treating their guests booked on Infinity is realy unworthy of loyal guests. My loyalty is getting close to an end. If they cancel, I will ask for my money back and book another cruise line in the future.

  8. On celebrity.com it is still possible to book cruises from Italy departing in July, such as Infinity from Venice. Has it just not been adjusted yet or are they trying to fill up the cruises around Britain with UK residents by not giving them an option to look at other cruises?

We’re booked on Infinity on July 11 from Venice.  With all the “good” news about Italy opening up for tourism, the imponderables are whether crew availability can be accomplished, and enough cabins sold to warrant sailing. A mock booking on a discount TA site shows very few S1 and S2 cabins sold, and all but two AQ cabins unsold. Maybe things will pick up, at least for US passengers with Delta just announcing 3x/week flights from JFK direct to VCE.  Requires negative Covid test not more than 3 days before travel, and the same in order to return from FCO, but vaccine rollout and administration here should lower the travel bar somewhat.

And yes, we made final payment April 9 without a clue from X, despite calls to obtain better info.  Sailing is still up on X’s site for booking, and the solicitations to purchase dining/spa/shore excursions continue hot and heavy.

We’re on the same cruise as you. We’ve also called several times, but to no avail other than, if it isn’t cancelled, it is still going.

With required full vaccination it will be difficult to get enough people to go. In Europe, where we are from, not every guest will have 2 vaccinations, especially the people under 50, who are slower to get their first and therefore their second shot. Even though my partner and I will be fully vaccinated, our daughter and partner might not be. If they are not allowed to go, with our two small granddaughters, we will cancel as well. But I hope to see you on the cruise though!😁

  10. I'm so sorry to hear RCI replaced the thermal suites by rooms on Jewel. We'll be on Jewel in August, fortunately with a port intensive schedule and with a large group, so we'll be busy and won't miss it. When we travel as a couple, we always enjoy the thermal suites, travel AquaClass on Celebrity or buy a pass on RCI and HAL. Removal of the thermal suites will remove us as potential customers of RCI.

  11. If there is a long line for the cable cars, you can also take a boat to Oia first, walk around there and then take a bus to Fira. This way you will avoid losing time waiting. Oia is in my experience a little quieter than Fira and that way a nice introduction to Santorini.

You can take the cable car down in Fira to the harbor, but walking down is also an option, health permitting of course.
