  1. Last time we were on Princess (2013), I think the unlimited non alcoholic drinks package for 7 days was $50 or less. I cannot find anywhere in the Oosterdam a similar package. In any event, seems for our consumption, we are better off just paying as we go. I do not think I will drink $288 worth of espresso coffee or lattes. Thanks!

Hi,did you purchase drink package on HAL ? I've had a few packages on princess & the 15% surcharge is inclusive. My question is,is this how HAL does it or are they going to added 15% on every drink I get from the bar . Thanks;)

  2. Hello has anyone purchased drink package through Holland america, ie unlimited soda or alcohol. The question is were you charged 15% at the bar or is the 15% included in the package, such as Princess does it . We planning 18days from Copenhagen to New York via Greenland & we get great value out of the unlimited soda package but won't if charged 15% per drink Thanks

  3. Hello- anyone got any helpful tips about the crown princess.

Ports we are going to are :

    Manzanillo-Mexico

    Lima-Peru

    Pisco-Peru

    La Serena-Chile

    Santiago-Chile

    Punta arenas-Chile

    Ushuaia-Argentina

    Falkland island

    Buenos Aires-Argentina

    Monteviedo-Uruguay

    Rio de janeiro-Brazil

Any information on tour operators at any ports when you step off would be invaluable,to save money on princesses inflated excursion prices, particularly Lima including private tours etc etc thanks ;-)

  4. Thanks Te Aroha-sounds kiwi,we're in Blenheim for the winter pruning.

Are looking at some private tour agent through Viator & see what they say,but I agree if we have a choice of only one do christ redeemer.

We're doing 17 day on diamond princess in September & should no shortly if we can afford 31 day from los Angeles to Rio on crown princess. Thanks again

  5. We were on the Regal 1st May 2016,overall found the cruise enjoyable.Confusing at first to get bearings, mid ship stairway ends deck 7 & theirs nothing on starboard side of deck 7.Passenger services were shocking & found the hospitality not to be that great compared to smaller ship Coral princess, service was impeccable.

Mostly dined in concerto as really enjoyed being waited on & very relaxing, compared to the rushed atmosphere of horizon court.Philippians are best at service.

Port lectures were shocking as long as you didn't mind hearing about shopping for handbags & shoe's.

Cruise director Martyn Moss was very good value.

Prefer explorer's lounge compared to princess live.

Food quality was a fraction better than Coral, room steward excellent.

Since the assistant cruise entertainers were so good on the Coral I found the personnel on Regal disappointing especially the Australian lady hosting karaoke.

Shore excursion we used SPB & found them to be exceptional.Done Princess excursion in Estonia,no good, group to large & needed headset.

Would I cruise princess again differently yes.Not so keen on Regal or Royal though & prefer to study the deck plans.

  6. Hello - has anyone done the disembarkation christ redeemer.Any airport transfer in Rio de janeiro & remember what time they arrived at the airport.

Our flight leaves 6.40pm back to New Zealand and princess suggests only taking part for flights departing after 9pm.Has anyone taken tour in Rio similar to SPB tours in northern europe.

The 5hr sugar loaf disembarkation tour will given us plenty of time for the airport etc but it's a shame to miss out on christ redeemer.

We'll be on Crown Princess 31 days from Los Angeles to Rio de Janeiro.

Any help would be kindly appreciated-thanks

  8. Hello-we just got back from 22night Panama cruise from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale & purchased the unlimited soda & more package prior to leaving New Zealand. We keep an account of what we drank & worked out we drank 4x the amount we paid.I especially enjoyed the mocktails, the no jito was very refreshing & the tropical blend were two of my favorites. We also found it very useful at dinner & entertainment times.
