  1. Usually most cabins are booked by couples meaning 2 people in a cabin.

Majority of the cabins can hold 4 or more people so if you cut off bookings at 50% capacity. Chances are you won't see less people on the ship than normal. 🤔

  2. The hotels park and stay are great in the area. I booked ours several months before and was able to get the room for one night, breakfast and 7 day parking with shuttle to and from the port for less than $100.

One "DAY" on our first cruise we did the same thing. This time we went with more "COMFORT" if you can get "INN" it's a great deal ;)

  3. That includes taxes and port charges. $599 for the stateroom itself, $144.99 for taxes and fees. Too high? We thought it was really cheap, especially with the free UBP.

No that sounds right I thought the $744 was base price before all the add on's.

    You will love the balcony.

  4. I laminate with packaging tape, then use packaging tape to seal two ends together prior to arriving at port. The "laminated" tags work great for cases of water, too!

I do this also and they have never came off.. I'll even bring the tape with me if I need attached them before getting to the port.

  5. In the MDR and in most specialty restaurants, shorts are allowed.

Closed toe shoes are needed for only the "more formal dining room" and in "more upscale specialty restaurants".

People may not like it but NCL says that it's fine.

I thought it was for all specialty. We were in Cagney's and there were shorts. Good to know for our next cruise.. means I have to pack less slacks for my hubby. :D

  6. Do you know if this is at the end of the gates from the main entrance to the pier? We will be on the NCL Spirit in April and would like to venture on our own for shopping and a beach. This looks perfect. Do you know if there is a Harley Davidson store nearby? Thank you .

There is one I have to pick up a t-shirt for my brother while we are there. There is also one in Grand Cayman too.

  7. Hi gang,

    First, thanks Rob.

So, called upsell this morning and here is what I got. Cabin 11018. Talked the gal down to $1000 total instead of $500 per person. Also got her to throw in UDP for mom (we had it for us 2 but not her before this)

    So, how'd I do gang??

We're pretty excited. This will work out better for us too. Like Rob said, we get our privacy and mom gets hers

Heck I'm excited for you, hope you guys enjoy your trip can't wait to hear how it went.

  8. Does Nationwide have cancellation insurance included or just medical? Never mind - it's the annual limit that doesn't work for us. One thing I do like about Nationwide Travel Insurance is two out of 3 of their cruise policies cover pre-existing medical conditions as long as you buy it within 24 hours of final payment. I bought it the last two cruises.

What is the annual limit? I didn't see that...I see it now

  9. A quick Google search shows that Travel Guard and Allianz both offer annual policies. Looks like Nationwide and AMEX also do. I stopped looking at the first page. :)

I saw those when I searched, now hoping someone who has bought one could let me know their experience. So far it looks like Nationwide has the best price.
