  1. I love it dark and quiet when I sleep.

Few people are dumb enough to party in an inside room! .

Sent from my iPad using Forums

My DH snores like a freight train/warthog/wild beast

I dont get quiet sleep. I figure fresh air will help with any seasickness or stale air from DH & DS

    Boys stink!!

**My sister and I once got "rowdy" after a night of heavy casino/cocktails etc

Inside cabin+rowdy=security/alcohol restriction to sail n sign

That night, we learned a big lesson in that inside cabin.

    Lol

  2. This is my absolutely-no-go list:

    Organ meats and offal

Raw or undercooked meat (nothing below medium rare for beef)

Fish/seafood/shellfish (with the exception of blackened halibut)

Meat with high fat content (nothing worse than biting into a huge wad of gluey fat, ugh) or lots of gristle

    Dark meat poultry

Eggs prepared in any way that does not involve combining the yolk and white (poaching, frying, boiling, etc.)

Ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, creamy salad dressings

    Escargot

    Amphibian/reptile meat

    Insects

    Ok, I feel sick

    Thank you.

    Are we related?

  3. My jamaica grand cayman cozumel cruise, I ate dramamine like candy. I swear I lose weight on cruises....so much heaving and puking. Lol.

    Ive heard soooooo many remedies.

Look at horizon, look at something , drink this, eat that, do this and that....blah blah blah.

    Im hopeless.

I just manage. Cruising is,worth the pain.

    Lol

Daydreaming of my balcony stateroom. I look at pics on Carnival like men spend hours looking at porn. I cannot wait.

  4. Love your post and POV

I get seasick with inside stateroom.

April 2016 will first time with balcony. Ive had a porthole room, ive done the window aft

Just hoping this time I wont be feeding the fish.

I am seriously green faced on boats and cruises. Love to cruise but im.telling you.....

I get weird. Hoping the balcony is the "fix"

  5. We booked early. $50 deposit.

Plenty of time to pay off.

I got rid of all the "extra" bills. (Lawn crew) hubby started mowing. (Xtra Cable tv) spare bedroom no one watches (car washes) DIY....Etc

We cut back on usage to lower power, water, cable(movie rentals) grocery.

We basically take all the extra spending and gear it towards savings. We get frugal and are always amazed at how much we were wasting...lol

Hubby & I dump ALL loose change into a bucket at the end of the day. Thats his casino fund.

I use envelopes to compartmentalize the savings for excursions etc. My paychecks from working weekends at local wholesale store dont even get cashed. Ive stacked them and put them away. I use coupons combined with store sales. I buy in bulk on grocery items. We want to look good on.the cruise so We hit the gym and work out 5 days a week, so eating out and overindulging $$ seems to be eliminated as well.

I think for anyone who has the extra money to be saved, save it. Every dollar counts. It adds up faster than you think.

  6. I know u said u dont like sulfate free..... however, you DO like Loreal.

    Have tou tried Loreal EverPure?

I cannot use anything that leaves or doesnt remove, buildup.

I have fine hair that HAS to be clean and clear or its gross.

Loreal EverPure smells beautiful, cleans my hair leaving soft and residue free.

Ive even used it as face soap when I forgot mine on a trip.

    Soft face :)

  7. Wow!!!

I had just found a carnival cruise Tshirt at Goodwill. It was faded and worn AND a size 3x. (Im a medium)

But I thought it would make a cute sleepshirt for our cruise in April.

Then......I started thinking its cheezy to buy used.

Im going back to snag it, thanks to you!!!

Im glad you showed me the way....hopefully I can keep my eyes peeled for treasureslike yours!!!

  8. Yuba**** youre right. I was meaning more along the lines of neccessary.

**thank you all for responding. I have now researched this topic and I have decided NOT to use the walkie talkies.

We are going to research other options. C Freedom has not implemented the HUB App yet.....which would be nice.

Ive cruised before, I know tracking my responsible son is not as hard as it "seems".

We were more thinking of communicating with nanny for emergency reasons.

Our snorkeling excursion will have us well away from the ship and I suppose we can be paged if we are needed for baby.

  9. Has anyone done this? If so what type? Proper ettiquette?

We are a family of four. We have a very mature 14yo son, 1 year old daughter. We are also taking a nanny with her own private cabin. Communication will be detrimental at certain points of the 7night carribean.

We HAVE discussed NOT using technology while onboard. I do not want anyone playing on phones for our family vacation, however we are trying to figure a way to be in touch for important/urgent situations.

    Your insight is appreciated!!

    (Naysayers please remain polite)

  10. The person cooking your food is a CHEF.

they know what over easy, over medium, over hard, poached, scrambled easy, scrambled hard, sunny side up etc

OMG! Thats like egg 101 in culinary school.

So....NO you dont have to go back in the kitchen and explain it.

    Geez, really?
