My TA forwarded a cancellation from Crystal. For the 2024 Nov. Ft Lauderdale to Costa Rica has been canceled. Has anyone else been informed of this?  So disappointed. I think the Panama Canal is suffering a lot.  Options are offered, but nothing looks interesting.

What is the cost of the class.

I agree ! I am cruising in November and to many of the devistated ports . I am a hurricane Sandy survivor. I was helped by many caring people and I also helped others. We all banded together. I am today sending supplies from my town to Texas. I have made a generous donation. But I am also looking forward to a much needed vacation and I don't feel bad about being concerned how I will be spending it.

We just got word our excursions to St. Thomas at the end of November have been cancelled. Have no idea where we are going but prayers to those islands and hope Jose doesn't deliver a second blow!

I am also traveling to St Thomas at the end of November on Crystal Cruise. Do you think the port will be closed to all Cruise Lines? How did you find this out? Thank You

The pictures coming in from St. Maarten and Antigua are just heartbreaking. These are some of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean. It will take much longer than two months for these islands to recover. Especially if they get hit by Jose.

I don't want to go to these places in November. I feel like we would just get in the way, and the last thing these folks need is tourists clogging up their island. I'd much rather just send money. If Celebrity doesn't change the ports of call, I think we will cancel.

I am also scheduled to go to St Marteen, St Barts, Tortola, Key West in November on Crystal. I dont think we can cancel. Does anyone know what the cruise lines will do? This is only my second cruise I am not sure what to expect. Thank You.

Hi, Welcome to Cruise Critic boards! It's probably to early to tell about your port calls and if the ports have too much damage for the cruise ships to call there. I suggest you join your cruise critic Roll Call for your cruise, where you will find others on your specific sailing, and maybe get more focused info. And try posting on the Crystal forum. I'll try to get you links if I can find your departure .... you haven't given us you ship and departure port so I may not be able to identify it but I'll try.... and come back with the links. m--

There's no question St. Maarten will require far more than just clean-up and repair to recover from this storm. It very likely will take years to rebuild and bring the place back to where it was, and it could even be quite a while before anything there gets back to anything resembling a daily routine.

I am new to cruising. I have a cruise with Crystal booked in 8 weeks from now. It is scheduled to stop in all of the ports that have significant damage. Do you know if we will still go to them? St Maarten, St Barts, Tortola, Key West. I hope we do I am a Sandy survivor and I want to support the people of those islands.
