  1. Just booked a September 2024 cruise.  Went to Options on the website, and to beverage packages.  Since our Simply More fare includes the lunch/dinner beverage package, I wanted to upgrade to the Prestige package.  On the website, the option for purchasing the beverage package lists only the Prestige package at $69.99/person/day.  There is no option to purchase the upgrade which should only be $30/person/day.

Anyone else experience this?  Work around? Or, just wait until we board and upgrade at that point?

    Thanks.

We are on a Vista cruise next May and, after we booked, the disembarkation port was changed from Venice to Trieste.  Can anyone tell me if Oceania is offering airport transfers from Trieste to Venice? I'm not expecting a complimentary transfer but was wondering if a transfer is offered and how much it would be.  We are trying to decide whether to go to Ljubljana, Slovenia for a couple of days after the cruise and fly home from there.

Ljubljana is a must visit, IMO.  A beautiful city, well worth any time there that you can spare.

When we disembarked in Trieste, we took the Oceania provided transfer to the Venice airport.  Then, a relatively inexpensive bus ticket from the airport to the Main Bus Station in Venice (across the bridge), where it is easy to find a vaporetto to anywhere in the city.

  3. Don't know if you are into public transportation, but a short cab ride to Penn Station, then the New Jersey transit train to EWR is super easy and very inexpensive.  The train is between $5-10 per person, with senior rates even less.  3-4 stops from Penn Station to the Newark Airport station.

  4. I agree with JRIH; we too went on this excursion.  The term "Nature Trail" suggests a casual stroll, but this was a full-on hike up a mountain in muddy, slippery conditions.  Very strenuous.  Was it easier going up or coming down?  Both were treacherous in a couple of places, and slippery in both directions.  They offer walking sticks at the beginning, and they are almost a necessity.  I agree that it should be rated a 5 rather than a 3.

  5. We are on Regatta for a LA to Tokyo cruise in October '23.  Got a notification of changes in port stays also.  Counted them and came up with 7 less hours total.  However, for two of the ports on the Japanese islands, an extra hour was ADDED.  Also, what was originally a sea day has been replaced by a 7:00 am - 4:00 pm stop in Otaru.

This seems to be a positive adjustment by Oceania.  I appreciate the opportunity to see another city in Japan, especially as it actually replaces the original stop in Russia, which was on the original itinerary before the war.

  6. Has anyone stayed in the Concierge A1 staterooms 8066 or 8069on Sirena?  They are located aft, between the two Owners Suites on Deck 8.  I was wondering about the balcony for these two; are they slightly larger than other A1 balconies?  Also, since they are directly below the outdoor dining area for Terrace Cafe, is it noisier than the ones on Decks 6 or 7?

Thanks to anyone who has a review for these staterooms.

  7. We were on Panama Canal Transit voyage during the holidays of 2019.  Very Christmasy on board with Gingerbread Village up the whole time, carolers daily, etc.  Christmas brunch was wonderfully done, no holds barred.  New Year's Eve celebration was in the theatre.  Very nice.  Oceania style, but all of the crew not on duty got to participate for awhile; very fun.

  8. The last stop on this cruise, before heading back to Miami, is Key West.

My question is, would Oceania consider offering a special excursion, which they sponsor, for any of us on this cruise to volunteer to go ashore for the day and help with some relief effort to help the people of Key West rebuild after Irma.

I don't know who to ask within Oceania, but was looking for fellow cruisers to support this idea.

  9. On our upcoming trip on Riviera in December, we chose Cruise Fare vs. O-Life so that we could book our own flights. The flights to Miami are not the best times when you are coming from the Pacific time zone, and we want to go a day early, and stay a day later after disembarkation.

Do we lose our option for OBC by choosing the Cruise Fare, or do we simply get the airfare credit, and still get OBC?

I can't tell for sure when booking through the Oceania website.
