  1. I've had 3 spa cabins, 2 on the Dream and 1 on the Sunshine. I am totally addicted now and even find myself going to the spa after coming back on board from ports. I also like the spa cabin because you are given discounts on spa services that others are not. As far as the crowds, I've never felt crowded in the spa and was always able to find a heated seat. I do not cruise during high season though.

Enjoy your spa cabin, I know I always do and am booked on the Breeze November 2018!

  2. I have a spa cabin next week on the Dream and plan on doing massages and a facial. I've done both in the past and love them! If you plan on doing a facial just make note they do not do extractions due to your skin being exposed to the sun all week. My face still felt fabulous afterwards:)

  3. Shaya is amazing if you like Mediterranean food! http://www.shayarestaurant.com/

I've found Magazine St/ the Garden Disctrict has better restaurants than the tourist area in the French Quarter. We live 3 hours from NO and visit atleast 2x per year.

Superior Seafood is always good as well if you like seafood and has good happy hour specials... http://www.superiorseafoodnola.com/

Hope this helps love the food in NOLA!!

  4. Any information about the thalasso pool on Dream would be appreciated.

    Was it crowded?

    What were the hours?

Basically anything you found interesting :)

I used the T pool December 2015 as I had a spa room and we never found more than 2 other people using it at the same time. I will be using it again in April as we sail again on the dream April 9th! I also loved the thermal suites, hope this helps!

  5. I'm cruising on the Dream in April and I always think about what I'm going to pack mentally. For example soon I will hit the mall to see what formal dresses have been marked down from the homecoming season. I usually find the best deals after prom, but I slipped this year and didn't look!

By the time my cruise or any vacay rolls around I know exactly what I'm packing the night before but always end up grabbing too many extras in fear of not having enough clothes!

  6. I saw you were going snorkeling. I recommend buying at least your own mask that comes with a snorkel. Maybe because its just me but I got grossed out when I saw how they clean the "community snorkels and masks". I noticed they were all placed in a plastic container and soaked in soap and water. At the end of the summer season I found extremely cheap snorkels and masks for my husband and I at Dicks along with $8 wet suits several years back that we have used and come in handy. I know its one more thing to pack but definitely worth it!!

Also I over pack for these cruises and always end up walking around the ship in sweats and dress up for dinner. Hope this helps.

  7. I just booked my third spa cabin, I'm addicted now! One was on the Dream and another on the Sunshine. I never felt pressured to purchase spa treatments. I did voluntarily book them and took advantage of the spa cabin discount. You get 10% off the first service, 20% off of the second, and 30% off of the third. I have a spa interior booked for April 2017 on the Dream!

  8. I'm booked on the Dream April 9, 2017 in a spa interior, this will be my third cruise on the Dream. I was married on the Dream in 2010 and fell in love with the spa cabins last December! When we booked our cruise the rep from Carnival said for sure the rooms and common areas were getting re furbished in dry dock and the sushi bar was going away. As to what is going in its place he did not say. I did read somewhere about getting a Guys as well. The Indian place in the back of the ship is Delish! The buffet on this ship is disappointing but with so many other options on board it did not bother us. I have never sailed on the Dawn and can only speak for Carnival and RCC.

  9. I was just on the Dream the first week of December and had a spa balcony. My husband and I are definitely hooked now, we spent most of our time aboard at the spa rotating in between the saunas, heated lay down chairs, and the T pool. There is a private locker room as well which has bigger showers than your cabin. I also enjoyed the discounted spa pricing only for people staying in a spa cabin. We also noticed that our floor was extremely quiet compared to other regular balcony rooms we have had in the past.
