Glad you did. But, you're more patient than I would have been.
Considering he is alone in my cabin and has access to my toothbrush I feel more comfortable waiting to speak up.

We were on the following cruise. Hawaii to Vancouver. Due to the Captian thinking, "He is the Captain" he could due WHATEVER he wanted we lost out from doing the scenic coastal cruise. Whenever the Captain spoke to us he always worked in the fact the He is the Captain and he can do whatever he wants. His actions caused us to miss out on a big part of our cruise. I can't believe he wasn't fired. Why would Celebrity keep him employed?

Sounds like a lazy cabin attendant. The soot needs to be cleaned off the rail daily then. Why make the bed, you are only going to get back in it. 🙄
I spoke of it in my post cruise survey.

we just got off of the Edge. we had cabin 7310. the inboard (closer to the center of the ship) divider was a hard structural kind. Not a swinging door type. Ours seemed to be angled to structurally carry the weight to a support underneath. yours seems to be similar.

We just sailed the Edge from Hawaii to Vancouver, May 1 thru 11. We had a aft facing balcony Sunset #7310.It had 2 loungers and 2 chairs. We did ask the steward to clean the railing. It was very dirty. He explained that its soot from the smokestacks and never cleaned it. I guess in his mind, if you know why it's there then he doesn't have to clean it.

The Palate Cleanser or Amuse Bouche that was server between each course was always something different each time. Never something that was served on a previous day.

Thats bad news. We loved them back in Jan 2019. When did they stop including them in Luminae?

We will be in a suite for our Edge Alaska cruise in May. It will be our 2nd time in a suite. Does Luminae still give you a palate cleanser between courses?

We did 1 B2B before. It was on Princess. It was the Southampton port in England. 1st cruise was a Scandinavian cruise followed by a West Bound Transatlantic. There was on issue when I left the ship to go buy a new pair of sneakers. They might have given me a card or paper to show when I came back to the terminal to get back on.

Ladies, I think we should start a girl band. We could ramp up the mascara (think Kiss back in the day), crank up the fog machine, and call ourselves "The Psycho Raccoons"🤣
Pete Townshend of The Who had a solo album called Psychoderelict. It was another of his Rock Opera albums centered on the character Ray High. BTW, Ray High was modeled after himself. Psychoderelict was In My Very Humble Opinion, one of his best works.

So Ox Fan, you prefer Celebrity? Didn't even really look at them yet...
We've sailed Princess once and Celebrity 7 times. Princess was our 2nd or 3rd cruise. But we found them to be neck & neck with Celebrity. We sail the Sky Princess on her Transatlantic from Copenhagen to NYC in September.
-
We've sailed Celebrity, Princess & NCL. No matter what the ship name is. Princess is much better than NCL. In My Very Humble Opinion. of the 3 lines, NCL has a firm grip on 3rd place.

we are booked for Sky Princess D730 for the Transatlantic in September. I wonder if the direction of the wind vs sailing direction plays a part in Soot / No Soot game?

We had an S3... cabin 9204. No issues at all with the MC. Very large balcony. Would book it again in a heart beat. there are several YouTube cabin reviews for it (9204). We had the 4th normal sailing last January. I didn't know we could ask for a lounger.

Any idea when the bookings will open up?
not sure but it should be soon. It sails Fall 2021.... maybe a news black out until the Apex is in service??
-
Doesn't the Apex have more solo cabins?
-
The first cut has been made for the Celebrity Beyond.

We had 9204, aft cabin inside of the rails. No problem at all. large balcony with a large window on aft wall between rail & cabin that looked down the side of the ship.
Didn't like the "sit up straight" deck chairs with the low back tho.

-

Were you on Summit after refurbishment? We have not noticed it being dated at all unless you are referring to design of the ship. It is of course older smaller ship, but it is in a great shape.
Yes right after the refurb... It was our first time ever on a Mill Class ship. We've done 4 Solstice class and the Edge.
-
We mostly sail Celebrity. Only once on (Caribbean) Princess. We are booked on the Sky for the Sept 4 TA from Copenhagen to NYC. We've been on the Summit last Spring. The Summit is a bit dated even tho it was just referb'd. My overall impression between Celebrity & Princess is that they are equal. The only other line we sailed was NCL, twice. In my very humble opinion. NCL has a firm grip on 3rd place.

Doesn't the Apex have more Solo Verandas?
Celebrity in Hot Water - Edge sailed too close to Kauai’s NaPali Coast

We were scheduled to do the scenic cruise past the island.. the very same island where "I'm the Captain I don't need to stay 3,000 feet from shore! I will go as close as I please" went the last day of the Australia to Hawaii cruise just before our cruise.
