  1. We just got off Wonder also. I caught a bug (bronchitis) on the last day, started the dreaded cough on the way home.I had a good cruise, but would not choose to go on this large of a ship again. They only waiting time we had was at the elevators. Not a big deal. Never went to the dining room. The buffet was good. Park City cafe was just a little crowded but food was good. Now I will take a second Covid test thanks Kristap for the info.

  2. We rode down the slide this past week on Wonder. After having to wiggle to get moving the mat slipped I hit my head on the side or I should say my head bounced off the side twice.  Painful bruised head.  I had to have help getting off at the bottom.  I followed the instructions…also my DH tore the skin on his elbow ! This slide not for the faint of heart..

  3. I was on this sailing with my daughter, grandson, and granddaughter.  We had a good trip, even though I spent hours (yes hours) in the Guest Relations line. We had  two connecting cabins booked. They moved

one cabin on check in. The original room was available, but it took them until late afternoon on the second day to resolve that issue.  A manager asked why the guest services just didn’t move us back to original cabin.  I told him we were told it was unbookable due to a maintenance problem (there was none). He was great and solved the issue in minutes once he was aware of the issue. They offered to upgrade the second of the original booked rooms, but they had no available connecting cabins. They were swamped with angry passengers. Lots of unhappy passengers complaining about smoke smell in cabins, fumes of some type, hot rooms, poor service, etc. No Honest Iced tea or Arizona teas  onboard.

Our room attendant, Hera, was exceptional.

‘Abby and Damion from guest services did their jobs!

No matter what was wrong ,I felt  bad for the crew that were treated so badly by a lot of rude passengers.

  4. We have sailed in the Haven twice.   ( 2 bedroom villa).  Service was good not great. We did sail in an Owners suite ( NCL Sun). Service was better, but still not great. Entertainment was outstanding. Cagney’s was great. Buffet quality was poor. Ship was crowded, loud, and we did not enjoy the smoke from the casino. NCL let non Haven guests to use area, mostly families of Haven guests. This made it crowded.

I do think we got better service in other areas of the ship because we were in a suite.

We have sailed in  FV, Concierge, Sky Suites and last sailing in a Celebrity Suite. All cruises on Celebrity have been great. Last cruise 8/27/2021, Luminae was outstanding. If I did not like what was on menu, they would adjust to my taste. There was also the option to order off the kids menu that had a great filet that you could cut with your fork ! DH wanted a baked potato and steak-not on menu no problem.

Casino no smoking so that is a plus.  Retreat lounge, we used it a few times. Never many guests.

Martini bar fun, fun.  Guests were treated great no matter where their cabin was..

So if  NCL had a super great itinerary, I would book the Haven.  Never a regular cabin.

But the clear winner for us and our tastes and likes is Celebrity.

  5. We flew home from Amsterdam after our cruise on Sihouette on May 16th.

We had a taxi waiting at eight. We left the ship at 7:30. The problem is the airport. You have to stand in a very long long line ( took an hour) to check your bags in ( all airlines use the same line). Then you have to go through security at your gate. Another long line. ( also a check your passport line in between those two) Our flight was at 10:55. We had no time to spare.

  6. SHIP: Silhouette

    CABIN: S1 2148 Corner Aft

    DECK # 12

    CLASS: Sky Suite 1

    AREA: Aft, Corner

BED: Center, Pole on right bottom side about two to three feet from bed.

QUIET: Some minor noise from Oceanview Café , Heard chairs a few times.

BALCONY VEW: There is a "basket" level with rail on the side, not bothersome at all. Also you can see a ladder out the porthole, but the covered balcony makes up for these.

BALCONY SIZE: Bigger than non aft corner SS.

WIND: Less than a side cabin on this cruise.

Soot: Minor- Steward cleaned it when it was not raining.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: I would book this suite again. Two poles in room One by bathroom and one on balcony side of room. Posed no problems at all
