I recently read that there is a new venue under construction in the promenade on the Freedom of the Seas. Does anyone know what this will be and when it will open? What used to be there? I read that it will either be a new loyalty shop or a Seaview Cafe. Thank you very much.

Was that hopefully maybe on one of the smaller ships?

Do all Royal Caribbean ships have the full 4 piece reggae pool bands? This is something we love and have looked forward to on all of our Roya Caribbean cruises. NCL also has great 4 piece bands, but Carnival has none or 2 piece duos which ruins the relaxing poolside cruise atmosphere and it isn't the same as the full four piece bands.

Also, which is the best RCCL band? I personally love the Mega4 group.

Not sure if it's too late to find this out, but if you happen to talk with anyone in the entertainment department or guest services, would it be possible to see if there's a general Freedom email address or someone from the entertainment department we can contact? We might reach out to see if several evening meetups or activities for the 18-21 age group can be added for the holiday sailings for our kids. According to the Compasses, it doesn't seem like there was more than 1 midnight informal meetup.

Do you remember if there was live music on the promenade on New Years Eve? Do you remember if they had a Studio B party on New Years Eve and a "Absolute Solarium" party either on New Years or sometime during the week?

Hey anyone cruised aboard the Freedom for NYE over the last couple years?

Do they have parties throughout the ship like other boats do? Our family has come to love the Solarium party (in general, not just on New Years). We also love the live music in the promenade on New Year's and the Studio B after party on New Years?

Can we look forward to any of these aboard the Freedom? Thank you very much!

We are cruising aboard the Freedom for the holidays and may also book a cruise aboard the Independence.

We are cruising with our kids who are between the ages of 18-21. On our last few cruises and on recent Freedom cruise Compasses, we noticed there is just about nothing listed for this age group. RCCL neglects this age more than other lines. Some RCCL ships at least have dedicated meet and greets (unorganized) at night on the first few nights and then have meetups at the club and at Karaoke on other nights.

Although there are many young adults this age during the holiday season, it's often difficult for them to meet each other.

Does anyone know if the Freedom and Independence does indeed have meetups (at clubs, lounges, or Karaoke)? Is there any way I can reach out to RCCL ahead of time to see about having some things added to the Compass for this age? My kids expressed this concern about RCCL compared to us considering cruises on other lines that have more dedicated to this age, even if informal.

We are cruising aboard the Freedom of the Seas for the holidays. Do you happen to know if the Temperature and Mega4 bands will be onboard through the end of the year? We have heard they are both among the best on Royal Caribbean.

Also, if you happen to notice what activities or meet and greets there are for the 18-21 group, it would be greatly appreciated. We are sailing with our kids and are concerned. Kately RCCL moreso than any other cruise line neglects this age group and often doesn't even have mere meet and greets or Karaoke at night specifically for this age group. Someone recently reported that there was nothing at all for this age group, not even meetups in the Compass at night, and I didn't notice anything in the Day 1 Compass you were kind enough to post.
