I wonder if the ones reserving the loungers and not using them are the same ones making the reservations in the specialty restaurants and not showing up?

We got a nice bump!!

 

Just completed a 14 day Panama transit in a category SE suite. Did not book 6 months in advance.

 

We have been sitting at 49 points for awhile and were disappointed when they changed platinum requirement from 75 to 80 days since a 14 day suite would have pushed us over 75.

 

Okay so we booked the 14 day cruise in a suite for 28 points. That put us at 77 points. We bought some cruise next certificates knowing we'd use at least one on a short cruise to get us up to 80 points. When we got home from our 14-day Panama trip, I logged on to NCL and was shocked to see they bumped us to PLATINUM @ 77 points. Thanks NCL :)

I doubt you got bumped. You probably booked while the platinum level was still 75 points, and got grandfathered in. That happened to us when we were silver.

We enjoyed the show on the Epic last year and thought the food was good (had NY Strip IIRC). We had a choice of sitting at floor level or up in the balcony, and chose the balcony. You could see the entire spectacle with ease. Smaller children might not be able to see from up there though. Lots of kids downstairs, and a few upstairs. Would we do it again? Yes. Would we sit in the balcony? No, there isn't a lot of leg room.

Keep in mind that you can also get drinks that are over the $15 limit, you just have to pay the difference.

Nice to have another NOLA option. Just another reason to go eat awesome food and sail somewhere.

I had several Irish Coffees and they were included.

That question will be answered when you get your security briefing prior to taking leave for the cruise.

Another vote for Fultons. Parked twice there last year and had no issues. Both times was on the road by 9am after disembarking the Dawn and Dream.
