I purchased the triboard one for myself. I love it. My husband had never seen them and laughed at me. That is.... until he tried it. Now he has his own. 😊 I have now purchased 4 on Amazon for myself and family.

When we went a couple years ago woodwind was booked. So, we took the 'sea cow' instead and snorkeled off Klein Bonaire. Snorkeling was fantastic!

Do you have to make advance reservations for Carambola Beach Club?

We did not, but got there early just incase. There was only 1 couple there before us, so we got front row seating. It got very busy closer to lunch time. It seemed like a lot of tours stopped there after the island tour for the beach portion of the tour. I will make a reservation next time because we will be going with a group instead of just 2 of us.

Dh and I have been to Carambola Beach Club and loved it! it is not a white sand beach, but is still very beautiful! The scenery is very nice. Towards the far end of the beach There is supposedly black sand... we didn't walk that far though. To be honest we went to St. Kitts thinking we wouldn't enjoy it much , but ended up loving it!

Just booked Best Western for Jan 28th as Air canada cancelled all flight this winter Going AA

Was your flight cancelled for January 28? AC is telling me that my Feb 25 and March 11 flights are still active, but I am suspicious as they are no longer available online. They told my TA that they only cancelled flights to Dec 15.

Could it be that Air Canada code share flights are still operating, that is an "AC" flight that is actually a United flight (or something). So while no Air Canada branded planes are flying, the code shares (on another airline) are?

The ones that are 'sold out' are actual AC flights. The ones that are showing available now (with connections in the US) are code shares.

I hope that everything gets back up and running smoothly soon.

I can't imagine what those poor people are going through without adequate housing and power. :(

Has anyone heard any more about air Canada flights to and from PR for later?

I went to check the other day for a price drop and it appears that our late Feb early early March flights are all sold out. Then I took a larger look and it appears that all direct flights from Toronto to San Juan and back are sold out from January to April. I asked my TA to confirm with AC - They claim they only cancelled up to mid December and that our flights are still active. But it seems suspicious to me that all direct flights are gone for 4 months straight.

They said the reason for cancelling up to mid December was that the San Juan airport decided that they can't handle the amount of flights and need to cut back.

Final payment is next week... unsure as to whether I should proceed with payment and trust AC on our flights for feb/March or book somethings else!

Westjet cancelled our Sunday January 28th flight home okay for the 13th going down

Oh No! Why did they cancel It? Air Canada has Saturday and Sunday flights that depart Toronto at 9 am and land in PR at about 3 pm. Hopefully you can snag one of those if westjet doesn't re-book you.

Does anyone know what time bars open on the ship?

I am not a huge drinker but hey, if i'm on vacation i might enjoy a bit of Bailey's in my coffee! I may want to add some to my go cup for my trek toward a beach. 😊

We took the water taxi over to Klein Bonaire. Gorgeous beach but no facilities unfortunately (when I was there In 2015) as I believe it is a nature reserve. Amazing snorkelling though!

Celebrity Eclipse has 2 week cruises out of Miami in February. It is a nice cruise which goes to 7 or 8 islands. Have you considered a different cruise line?

Thanks for the tip, those sailings look great! Our other family members were only doing 7 days, so that's why we did the b2b like this. But I will definitely keep an eye on those itineraries to see if they're still there the following winter!

Well, we ended up adjusting our cruise, taking the financial hit to re-book B2B. This allows us to travel with our family members as originally planned.

Just unfortunate that the additional cost was ours to pay.

On the bright side, I am glad it's finally sorted so that we can focus on how wonderful it will be when we are back on the beach!

We were booked on the same cruise with a B2B and I gave up trying and just booked with Anthem out of New Jersey, the real reason was I had not booked our flights for 3 from Ottawa, Canada to San Juan. I am only doing the Anthem to make up the 10 nights I need for our Diamond and then we will go with Celebrity or may even try a different company completely or do some land holidays vice cruising. My Brother in Law and his wife were booked on the Adventure as well with us for the B2B but they had purchased their flights through Choice Air and Royal is not honouring the second week of the booking for them and they are almost Diamond + so they are cancelling completely and going with to do the resort thing and give up on cruising for a while

 

RCCL is not looking after their customers on this issue and if they don't come up with better customer service or get rids of guys like Josh in resolutions who according to him does not report to anyone in RCCL. He is it. He has the final say period. Good Luck Royal

That was the issue I had with resolutions team. The agents were quite abrupt and refused to acknowledge that there is anyone above them, when clearly there is.

Good to hear they stand their grounds. It´s all too often when we read contacting corporate Office makes Things happen. They should stand their grounds much more often.(y)
