Can't wait to read all about it! Our cruise is the 20th, and I'm soaking up every bit of information! I just had two surgeries, so I've had two weeks of no alcohol - I may be too much of a lightweight by the time the cruise rolls around to even do the Cheers package ;-)
You can always have a few with alcohol and mix it up with soda and the non alcoholic margs or daq's ")

Great pictures, Do you have one of the pig patty?
Not trying to hijack your thread but check the new thread about the Conquest you will get what you want to see..
Great Review!! Have lots of friends who were on board for the 2 and now 8 day:D

I had forgotten the cabins were so small
Small compared to what.. they are bigger than other lines.. unless you are in a suite or bigger??

Does anyone know when the Freedom is scheduled to receive the Funship 2.0 upgrades?

They know who is b2b, and on our b2b on the Liberty in September, they did NOT deliver the booze at the end of the first week. Not until the last day of the second cruise.
Thats why you buy it the last night where you take it with you.. never ask to have it delivered ;)

On our Princess cruises our kids enjoy something you can purchase called the Ultimate Kids Program which allows for unlimited mocktails, smoothies and milkshakes in addition to sodas. Does Carnival offer a similar program? In searching the board I have only found references to the unlimited soda/juice card. If not, can you purchase mocktails and milkshakes? We are going to be on the Spirit in a few weeks and excited kids are asking what to expect since we are not very familiar with Carnival.
Not that I know of.. but you can purchase mocktails and smoothies.. see below...

There is no smoking in any of the Serenity areas but I do hate that the miniature golf was right above the Serenity deck. So much for relaxing away from the kids.
Yes I know there is no smoking in the serenity areas on any ship.. I meant the Spirit class since they took away the aft... all the other serenity areas.. are on other decks beside the lido...
-
I wont cruise the Splendor again because I hated the ship for smokers... it seems with the new smoking and serenity areas.. the Spirit class won't be on my list any more either along with the Liberty :(

I'm not really looking for ideas of sites or where to look. I just want to see what everyone else is wearing! I don't think I interpreted that correctly in the OP.
The link provided above is to the fashion board where this thread should be.. so it could be moved there.. just giving you a heads up.. but they have a huge thread going over there about this same topic.. here is the link to that specific thread..;)

We are planning on sailing on the Freedom later this year and was wondering if there is a self-serve laundry room.
With airfares rising and quite possibly checked baggage fees we want to take as little as possible.
Thanks.
Yes they are on each floor;)
-
Yes they are less private... the partitions are slanted and not upright.. when you stand at the railing you can see right over into the other aft balconies... not this depends on which ship you are talking about... as for the light for some reason I never have had one that worked LOL.. it is hit or miss.. I dont think it would bother anyone unless they were trying to sleep out there;)I just had an aft on the Triumph and, yes, get ready to know your neighbors LOL. The partitions are at a slant and, conceivably, your neighbor can be in the corner of their balcony and look around the partition and see into your cabin. I don't think anyone *did* this, however, still possible.
AND, in the evening, the light on my balcony was not working so I called Guest Services to see if they can have someone look at it and they said that it was done intentionally because the light on my aft balcony interfered with the navigation system  I know it's not just my balcony, but, nonetheless, was disappointed I had to sit in the dark out there at night. Going with a side next time. Hope that helps :D
LMAO how funny I just posted the exact samething:p
-
I read where someone commented with an aft you get to know your neighbors. Are they less private than the balconies located on the side of the ship? Also, I like to read out on the balcony at night:o would this disturb other aft balconies?

Does anybody have any good tips on where I can hide a travel iron in my luggage for the cruise??? We've always traveled with an iron in our luggage and have never in the past had any problems with taking the iron onboard. Our last cruise, they took away the iron and left it at the port for us to pick up on our way out/home. Can I wrap it good in something? pack it in the middle of some stuff good enough to hide it?!?!
They are not allowed use the free ones provided in the laundry rooms onbaord..

Does anyone know if we can visit both on the same night? Just curious because there are often 1 or 2 items on the MDR menu we want to try (mostly desserts). So we were thinking after dinner we could head to the MDR for dessert. Thanks!
LMAO once you try the steakhouse and enjoy everything they offer.. you will not need to go back for dessert...the steakhouse desserts are unbelievable;)

Hey Mike and Tracy..
Loving your review as always!!;)
Mike just wanted you to know it was too funny.. I was reading the local intranet at work that has newspapers from across Canada and I came across your story in your local paper... I said hey I know those people LOL:p
Very nice story so happy for your whole family and hope the time goes by very fast for you all:)
And I think Tracy will have no problem keeping some of the boys out there in line :D
-
Thank you Danielle, by the way for everyone who was interested in Tracy's career, she found out yesterday that she is leaving on Feb 21st for 6 months of training, to become a mountie.
Awesome news.. here's hoping she is posted back your way ;)
-
Sorry it took so long, I chose these photos for two reasons, they are my favourites and second, it shows us the first time we exchanged our vows.
Fun times coming soon as requested
Great pics you do the Mounties proud wearing that uniform.. and your wife looked gorgeous as well:)

I sailed on the Holiday. It's small, old, etc, but we loved the cruise!
I know it went through major renovations, and is sailing for a Spanish-Iberian (SP?) cruise line. I found the website, but the english version of the website does not list the "Grand Holiday" as it's known now, as a member of its fleet.
Anyone know how you can find out pricing on this newly refurbed ship? I'm usually very internet savy and can find my way around anything, but this one stumps me. :)
Thanks!
This is on wikipedia... it may help..

Thanks, appreciate it.
Anytime:).. had to call my father.. he was a conflict management teacher at Depot back in the day.... Also wanted to toot his horn he was a member of the RIOT squad and was at OKA and when the POPE was in Ottawa.... I just wanted to mention that as I am very proud of our RCMP... LOVE YOU ALL.. THANKS for your service:):) You all each and everyone of you MAKE US CANADA!!!!!:)
