  1. Our cruise last November a group 3-4 of us would sit up there for pre happy hour. One of us would go to the bar and order drinks. Sometimes we would bring back, sometimes they would insist on bringing them up two flights

They will come up from time to time to the sun deck. I've ordered drinks whilst sunbathing there. One night last year there were 8 of us after midnight trying to see a meteor shower whilst passing Stromboli (unfortunately all we saw was a lot of dark). After about 10 minutes security came up and asked us if they could get us something. They're pretty good at tracking you down.

  2. Yes it could be good. BTW I've just got confirmation from Seabourn via our TA that its a day at sea.

"This is to advise that, upon further reviewing the pace of ongoing recovery

efforts in the Caribbean and the feedback received from travelers who have

visited the islands, we have replaced our port call to Frederiksted, St. Croix

with a day at sea. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to

    welcoming you aboard."

  3. It's odd because the speciality dining reservation facility, albeit with no options, has only just appeared in the last week on the cruise activity choices and itinerary. If they are not going to offer it why update the cruise website? Also if the other ships took about 15 - 18 days to convert and get up to speed why should this one take over a month to do so? I'm with Henry, for a significant change to the service like this I would expect at least a communication from the TA or expect a 4th dining venue to be available when we get there.

  4. I can't help with 2017 but i don't think the lower score is just this year. It was about the same when we went on the Odyssey in 2015. It was still the same in 2016 when we went on Sojourn. I loved both ships. There was no qualitative difference between years or ships as far as I could see. Perhaps it's something to do with the cruise types and areas? I know the Quest is popular because of the adventure cruise aspect. We're off to the Caribbean at Christmas on Sojourn by then according to most reports we'd be better off on a tramp steamer. I wouldn't worry about it.

  5. The connecting door is actually outside the suite in a small shared vestibule with the owners cabin. The facilities are exactly the same as the other suites. My wife who shared 802 with our daughter actually preferred the layout as the closet was slightly squarer than the normal suites. But to reiterate exactly the same size and no problem with the bridge overhang.

  6. We did the Eastern Med on Odyssey last August and there was quite a young crowd of twenty somethings. But i think it would have been a struggle for a 16 year old to keep up. Not even wine with dinner! Japesurf's daughter seems to have a pretty sensible view of things. My kids were 23 and 24 at the time and they really enjoyed it. I was amazed how the Club seemed to stay open until all hours (i think 4 in the morning was quoted one night - needless to say I wasn't around to verify it). So i think the nightlife can be pretty good - small tip - bring an iPod with your favourite dance tunes and plug it in once the musicians have gone to bed and be your own DJ. We're doing the western Med on Sojourn this year and, given that we're relative newbies, it'll be interesting to see if its a different mix of people .
