We were also on the 4th November cruise to the Canaries. We did receive the survey and also the daily menus.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise Have to agree with the lack of announcements from the Captain, after letting us know that we would be delayed leaving Lanzarote and saying he would update us in half an hour, we heard nothing more until later the next morning. Not a problem missing ports for us, safety must come first.
We were in the PG and the movement in that restaurant was not too bad at all on the Thursday evening. Glad to say the dress code was being upheld in this restaurant with several gentlemen being asked to return to their cabins to fetch their jackets. Staff all over the ship were friendly in a professional manner. Did not go to the theatre much, preferring to listen to the band in the Yacht club most evenings. Highlight for us was the rhythm and blues set in the Golden Lion, amazing.
Looking to book for next year on this ship and would be happy to sail again in November as long as we get to see some sun....

Hi. Thinking of booking Fort Lauderdale to Southampton in March 2018. Which, IYO, would be best, port or starboard?
Thank you.

We board Queen Victoria on Saturday 4th Nov in Barcelona and stay overnight in port, leaving late Sunday afternoon, could anyone advise when we are likely to have our lifeboat drill, will it be Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon?
Also is the Princess Grill dining room open on embarkation day for lunch?
Thank you

Hi, can anyone advise if you receive daily deliveries of bottled water if you are in a suite? Many thanks.

Hi. If we were to book our next Cunard cruise whilst on board the QV next month, what extra benefits could we expect to receive? Is it worth booking when you are on the ship?
Thank you

Could someone please advise if when checking in for a BA charter flight at Heathrow Terminal 5 you use the normal BA check in desks, or is there a dedicated check in desk for BA charter flights? Thank you

Just loving your blog, can't wait until we are on board on the 3rd.
Where have you visited on a cruise that you would return for a Land-only vacation?

For us it would have to be Australia. We have visited Perth and Sydney where we have picked up cruises, but would love to explore Melbourne and Adelaide and may be take the train across Australia
So glad many of you would like to return to Guernsey, living here and having to take a staycation this year is no hard ship for us. IMO it is one of the best places to be at present, last case of Covid19 was 79 days ago so life here is pretty much back to normal, no social distancing, no masks, pretty much everything open. Only restriction is travel on to the Island where you have to self isolate for 14 days on arrival. Although we are allowed to travel freely between Alderney, Sark and Herm.
