Hi everyone me and my fiance will be sailing on the harmony of the seas on aug 11 for a 7 night European cruise out of rome for our honeymoon, it will be our first cruise and first time in Europe aswell. here is our itinerary

11-Aug Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy 8:00 PM

12-Aug Naples (Capri), Italy 7:00 AM 8:00 PM Docked

13-Aug Cruising Cruising

14-Aug Barcelona, Spain 5:00 AM 6:00 PM Docked

15-Aug Palma De Mallorca, Spain 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Docked

16-Aug Marseilles (Provence), France 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Docked

17-Aug La Spezia (Florence/Pisa), Italy 8:30 AM 8:30 PM Docked

18-Aug Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy 7:00 AM

now for those of you who have been to these ports which do you recommend to diy, and which do you recommend to do a shore excrusion? and finally is shoreexcrusionsgroup dot com trustworthy ?

Sorry first time I will be going on a cruise but is there a reason you would want to take one is the Ac in the rooms not good?

Thanks for the help guys I will book this hotel and use the train from termini direct to civitavecchia looks like 1st class which is a little more room is 7 per person allot better than using a private shuttle for 100 euros

so I am sailing on the rci harmony of the seas on Aug. 11 for our honeymoon it will be our first time to go on a cruise and the first time in Europe for both of us. no I got recommended that I should stay in Rome because I arrive in Rome on the 10 and then take the train the next day to the port, I was looking through hotels and it seems like the closest and best hotel would be hotel Alpi, has anyone had experience with this hotel is it as close as it states to the rome train station? And is the train nice to take to the port or is private shuttle worth the huge difference?
