Hi everyone. I'm going on the Breakaway for a 13 night sailing to the Southern Caribbean tomorrow. It's almost the same cruise I did last year, so when I get back I will do a review with a bit of a then and now comparison.

In the meantime, please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I'll try and get the answers for you. I have the unlimited internet package for the cruise so I will update often.

Could you kindly check if balacony cabin mattresses have waterproof mattress covers. I called the special needs number and they said no but could bring it! What happens if a passenger has an accident? Do they clean the whole mattress? Replace it? Leave it? I know on RCCL they will provided a vinyl sheet between mattress and sheets. Any info is great ThankYou, hope you are enjoying your cruise.

Spoke to several RCCL people and as of Tues, Sept 6 the new packages will be available. Only savings NOW would be to get the premium pkg at 20% off and it will become the new ultimate package at NO additional cost. This is a savings currently of $70.00.

On Breakaway now - no word about leaving early. Ship is huge and is moored at dock. Celebrity much smaller and is owned by RCCL who are probably being cautious after all the Anthem troubles.

Patti, Here is a shot of the RC internet area and the now closed library. Those are Apple computers which is typical for RCI ships.

Also our location and temperature at just before 8am this morning. Note ship's speed has dropped from over 24 knots we were doing yesterday.

The Norovirus protocol is still very high today. One must use sanitization lotion before entering any shops and staff is ensuring all wash their hands going into the restaurants. All sweeteners are on request from staff only in Promenade and Two70 Café. We have gone to WJ Marketplace yet.

In the Diamond and Concierge's lounges they have a staff making all coffees at the machines there.

Anthem went Western on Nov 30. I was on Jan 25/26 cruise and was supposed to go western but b/c we lost a day due to snowstorm they changed entire itinery. I am currently booked on October 29 Western. Do you no something I do not - has things changed?

Anyone on current anthem cruise are you going western - Mexico, Jamaica? Thanks
