This document has the instructions that your travel agent can follow to quickly add the package to your cruise.  Unless you have a casino discount, it should be fairly easy for them to add it.

Any luck getting this added to a casino rate cruise? I’ve called a couple times and they say it can’t be added without deleting the casino discount code.

  2. We’re currently on the 12/4 3 night Sky Princess and staying on for the following 12/7 7 day cruise.

We booked a S4 penthouse for the 3 day, but a M1 club class mini for the 7 day since the S4’s were almost triple the price.

First night of the 3 day I received an email telling us we got a free upgrade from our M1 to a S4! I don’t know if the 3 day cruise had anything to do with the upgrade but it counted as our 49th and 50th cruise credits.

I’ll take that free upgrade any day!

Your phone does NOT need to be in flight mode, otherwise you cannot make or receive calls or make/receive texts. Many people put their phones in flight mode as it is the simplest but when you do that you essentially do not have a working phone in the traditional sense. What you should do is simply disable mobile data. Go to settings>connections>data usage>mobile data>select disable. That will stop your phone updating apps etc which are the causes of large bills.

Do not listen to this advice!

    1. Set up your phone to enable Wi-Fi calling. Most cell companies support it and you just need to turn it on in settings in your iPhone.

    2. Once on the boat put your phone in airplane mode and keep Wi-Fi turned on.

    3. Connect to the ship's Wi-Fi.

    4. Your phone will make and receive calls, texts, Internet etc. just like you’re at home.

Whatever you do make sure your phone is in airplane mode and connected to Wi-Fi when on the boat! You won’t incur unexpected charges this way.

  4. We’ve always taken Uber to and from LAX. Last time was September of this year. Price is usually $26-38 each way depending on traffic.

It has always gone smoothly although sometimes finding the Uber at the port when disembarking can be a chore due to the number of people also looking for their Uber’s.

  5. On the Caribbean princess now too. I find the selections in the buffet to be awful. I know things like this are highly subjective and just personal preference, but they’ve tried to make things fancy (my description) and instead just ruined it.

Why does the pork need to be stuffed with nuts and vegetables? Why can’t it just be a regular piece of pork?

I have liked most everything served in club class dining though.

  6. On the Caribbean princess as I type this. “MedallionNet” Internet is actually very impressive. It’s unlimited, always connected and very fast.

It’ll stream video and support Wi-Fi calling. Best part is you can actually keep in touch with your friends on board via text since the princess messenger is the worst messaging app on the planet.

Every ship should have this internet connection.

  7. Taking the Princess shuttle eliminates many of the problems pointed out.

    A) the ship will wait for late busses

    B) once your luggage is by the bus, you don't have to touch yours it again until it is in front of your cabin

    C) You don't have to find the driver sent for you or worry about his competency.

If you want to wait for a bus to fill up and be super slow take the princess transfer.

If you want a cheaper easier quicker alternative then take Uber.

We take Uber every time and it works well. I’d never pay for a princess transfer to or from LAX.
