I read through some of the posted comments. Looks like they were in muster stations for about 60-90 min while they conducted a head count. Sounds like everyone was accounted for so may have been a false alarm.
This is one area where I think Princess beats DCL, all Princess muster stations are inside and have a lot of places where you can sit.
If I ever need to go to a muster station for real I certainly would not relish it being inside. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

The initiative can be taken by challenging the selfish who deliberately go against policy. Paying and hiding in the retreat is just leaving the problem for someone else.

Two great examples of inconsiderate behaviour that we holiday makers have let happen by not challenging those responsible.

Hogging of beds is easily solved. If unattended for more than 15 mins then they are fair game. I never hesitate to take a bed if they are clearly being reserved. Pussyfooting around the offenders is what keeps this practice going.

We are booked on the Bruges taster in December. Looking forward to a fun break for our wedding anniversary.
Good food is a must, anything else is a bonus.
After reading about P&O we are highly unlikely to take another other than a mini break. It was the date/itinerary/ cost that made it the right fit for us.
Will only be our 2nd cruise, after Disney not expecting a British centric line to compete on wow or service. I may be surprised.

We booked direct with DCL in the UK, paying a deposit and fixing the total, in GBP, at the point of booking. We did this specifically to avoid a falling GBP, saving what would have been around $250 USD.
We did consider a US TA but they were not competitive given the likely rate drop.

Ex Royal Navy.
Two biggest risks to ship are fire and water ingress. Again, in neither situation would I want to be herded inside with others.
