  1. No, you did not get 97 CUC for $100 Canadian. The CUC is on par with the US Dollar. At today's rate the Canadian dollar is worth 81 cents USD. For $100 Canadian you would get 81 CUC less the 3% giving you 78.57 CUC.

So what is the best way to get the most out of the American dollar when you exchange for CUC's?

  2. I would NEVER drive a scooter on my own, but I have always rode on the back with my husband driving when in Bermuda. I can't imagine not having the freedom to go where you want when you want, seeing the sights glide past with the sun shining on you and the wind blowing against you, smelling the scent of the native flowers, stopping at little places along the way that catch your interest. That's what going to Bermuda means to me.

But that is exactly what I am doing this month: riding the busses with my mom. It sure will be a different visit.

BTW, my DH is not a motorcycle owner, but he does know how to drive one and I have always felt confident with him driving. I agree the Middle road is the most harrowing. There's not much in the way of "scenic" sights to see there anyway, it's just a way to get from point A to point B.

  3. Now, I'm ready to be flamed about my statements and how you can't afford them!

I'm not going to tell you about not being able to afford it.

What makes you think EVERYONE knew they were going on a cruise 9 months in advance???? I booked my cruise, then applied for my passport (well within the time suggested I would need) and I am now sweating it's arrival.

  4. We stopped in there last Wednesday after walking around. It was on my list of things I wanted to do there.

It was REALLY good! Too rich to eat by myself, so my sister in law and I split one.

    Well worth the trip. :)
