  1. Hi All, Has anyone purchased these with a Capital One Venture Card? I am curious if they would show up as a "travel charge" on the statement. It would be great to get the 10% off and be able to use points to erase the purchase.
I use my BOA travel rewards cc and it qualifies as travel.

  2. Bit off topic, have been following CCL stock prices - looking at getting 100 shs of CCL to take advantage of the 100 OBC. Will be on the 8 day cruise on Horizon in August. Checked this morning and it's hovering around 56-57. Thinking of pulling the trigger.
So tying up $5700 plus trade fees isn't worth $100 obc to me. There's plenty of other companies that $5700 will net you way more than that in dividends alone. I know it sounds juicy but way too scary of a risk with carnival unless it's under $42 a share.

  3. Part of the GC was to pay for the Cheers package. It may arrive too late. I'm hoping a friend can get one via her Insurance Company today as they offer them too. Thanks a lot AARP!
They will be available the day after you leave im sure.

  4. Tried for one today and they are back to UNAVAILABLE for the eGift cards! Tried to get one for my daughter and they are only available via mail. We leave in a week and I'm scared to take the risk. :o
Who's watching your mail. Have them open the GC and send you the numbers.

  5. I buy 100s individually. Sounds funny. But the couple extra bucks in shipping is worth not having to sit around waiting to sign for them

I wish they'd get some more $500 cards. I've been checking every day and all they have are the $100 ones. Also would prefer e-cards. When I buy 2-$500 GCs, they sent it UPS - signature required - which means one of us has to be home for the delivery.

  6. How long does it normally take to get the physical cards? I ordered $500 in gift cards on 5/4 and as of today, I still haven’t received them. Starting to get a little worried. I ordered them from Allstate.

  7. I saved $80 on $800 worth of gift cards in literally under 10 minutes. It miust be nice to have ten minutes of your time valued at more than $80.
I never said the savings wasnt worth it. I said the surveys arent worth it. Either way meaning reading them or just putting in any answer. There are ways to get points without doing surveys. I have 4 accounts that never did even one survey and have thousands of points. I have 1 account with over 70k and just used promo codes to get there. Copy and paste baby ! Get with the times.

  8. For those of you that use the gift cards...do you buy cruise cash with them so that you don't have to bother with bringing the cards with you, or do you save them, bring them and have them put onto your account once you are on the ship?

I have already paid for my cruise. I don't know how much to buy, I have no idea how much we will spend and if we will do ship excursions or independent ones.

If you paid for your cruise with a credit card you can call carnival and they will apply the card to your cruise and refund the credit card that amount.

  9. Research travel rewards cards, mine gives 2% cash back on travel related purchases. Carnival gift cards qualifies. I have previously posted which card that is but i have been reported for doing so. Alot of haters on here.

I have posted other sites to find cards too and also been reported for it.

  10. You're right, there is a little effort involved. However, I don't mind putting in 3 minutes worth of work to click through a few pages of random surveys to save $500 on a cruise. That $500 is a big savings for us. If you don't need/want that $500 worth of savings then by all means, don't spend 3-5 minutes clicking through a bunch of random crap to save the money. That leaves more for us who do want them.
Oh i get the gift cards just dont have to do surveys anymore and when i purchase gc's with my travel card i get another bonus on top of it. Also if you check out the other threads you can find out how to save even more than just 10 to 12%.
