I'll always prefer well mannered and polite guests wearing shorts and t-shirts over entitled, drunk, loud, obnoxious well dressed people in the dining rooms and specialty restaurants any day.  The clothes worn do not make the person inside of them. I focus on my meal and my dining companions much more than those at the tables around me.

Back in 2017, we cruised on Carnival with our son who requires adult diapers.  We spoke to the cabin steward when settling in and let him know the situation and he provided a hazardous materials medical bag as needed each day.  That was worthy of a significant additional tip at the end of the cruise.
