  1. Hello,

My family and I will be sailing on the Celebrity Summit in November over Thanksgiving week. We are celebrating a birthday three days before Thanksgiving, on the first sea day of the cruise and are looking at booking Qsine for that night. I know there are not a lot of seats in Qsine and it will be a formal night, so would it be best to book as soon as possible? I read in some other places that specialty restaurant deals are offered onboard throughout the cruise, but I am concerned that we will not be able to get a table by then.

    Thank you!

  2. Hello, we will be sailing on the Freedom of the Seas out of Pan American Pier later this month. Although we have a flight home the same day of disembarkation, we do not need to be at the airport until after 4:00. I was wondering what there is to do for a reasonable price (~$20 pp?). However, we do have a couple of restrictions. One member of our party can walk but cannot walk fast or long distances (mobility issues). We also need to ensure that our bags are safe at all times. Does anybody know of any reasonably priced post cruise tours in San Juan?

If anybody has sailed out of Pan American Pier recently: Have you seen a company called "San Juan Happy Tours" while you were disembarking? I have read about this elsewhere and it is a $20 bus tour with airport drop off which is exactly what we are looking for. However, the last review of the company was posted last year so I am not sure if they are still operating this year. They do not have a website and people said that they just show up at the pier. Please let me know if anyone has seen them this year! Thanks for the help!

  4. We haven't received any email yet. We were looking forward to trying the new system. Seems like they are probably sending out a lot of emails. Guess I'll have to check in the morning to see where we stand.

    Sigh....

We didn't get an email but we called and asked and when they said no we ended up walking away with $500... I suggest you do the same...

  5. I was on the Regal transatlantic cruise in September and they are still working on installing wiring for the ocean medallion. There were workmen in the halls every day. My room steward said they were doing last minute installation and checks. He also said he had to go to training meetings almost every day regarding the medallion. He was very excited about it.

Good to know they are getting training already... although the layover day when they activate it will probably be chaotic.

  6. :'):'):')

I'll be on the Regal cruise 11/5 - 11/12. Hoping that they won't be behind schedule and scurrying around during our cruise to get things done at the last minute.

They already installed everything in a dry dock back in April (?) I believe. They just haven't activated it yet. I will be sailing on the first one week cruise on 11/19.

  7. Thanks for those Compasses as we will be on Grandeur for the 12 nt cruise on 10/28.

Do you recall if they had prime rib in the MDR on the first night like they usually did in the past? Trying to scope out whether to book spec. restaurant on Day 1 or not

    Thanks again

Not sure... we were in the specialty restaurants the first three nights. The BOGO package is a good deal, so book that if you are going to go the first night.
